@Thorin If you took literally 5 seconds to look up the rules, you would know that it is the champion of each region. The second seed from China advances directly as a reward for China winning the first international tournament this year.
@cemeteryfIowers 75. It was 78 when I lived in a house with ceiling fans that I kept running 24/7 over the summer. Running fans is cheaper than keeping a house 3 degrees cooler. Each place I move, I take a week to calibrate what the highest temperature I can set is without sweating.
@CthReader29033@nextphlmayor Also, most of Philly's budget is for education, which is just per student funding. And since Philly has the most students, it gets the most education funding. If you remove education funding and split SEPTA funding among the served counties, Philly comes out pretty even.
@CthReader29033@nextphlmayor Huh, I wonder why those counties are only getting $0.40? Is it because they are Chester, Montco, and Bucks which also benefit from those Philly funds? SEPTA's full budget is assigned to Philly even though all 5 metro counties benefit.
@muheediva01 Can I jog? I'm tucked into a neighborhood, so I'm about a 12 minute walk to a bunch of different places I could go to, but if I can jog, then I easily make it.
@TCUisbetter@arshgoyal13 "those dudes" is the object of a prepositional phrase, not the subject of the sentence. You can argue that what "dumbest" is referring to is plural, but "those dudes was skipping" is not inherently wrong.
It's funny you've called him illiterate twice and been wrong both times.
@TonkaParty2@LinkofSunshine Boston has a giant metro area pop, but MA is hundreds of small towns so the city itself is only ranked 25.
If you took Suffolk County, and added Brookline, Cambridge, and Somerville, all of which feel very "Boston", you get to 1 mil
@LinkofSunshine Using Census Bureau 2025 estimates, I see:
1 - LA
2 - Chicago
3 - Brooklyn✅
4 - Houston
5 - Queens✅
6 - Phoenix
7 - Manhattan✅
8 - Philly
9 - San Antonio
10t - San Diego/The Bronx✅
Your ranking was correct for 2020, but NYC population has dropped by over 200k since then.
@JosephPatton5@TheNFLDrop I see that he said that while streaming. It sounds like he is only talking about his salary, not his signing bonus. He might have only made $250k from his salary, but he got over half a mil in his pocket from his signing bonus.
@JosephPatton5@TheNFLDrop Between his signing bonus and salary, he probably took home around $800k after taxes and agent fee.
Without a signing bonus to boost his pay, he will take home about $400k this year.
Not saying he can afford finals tickets, but he made way more than $250k last year.
@joelight@SamRo The answer would be life insurance if Katherine was married and has young children. That is why it stated she it stated she is single.
Though yes, I do get your joke.
@tokyo_111 After taxes and the listed expenses, this person still has $3k left per month. How in the world is that feeling broke? That's enough to max out both a 401k and a Roth IRA and still have a couple hundred left for fun. Downgrading on the car would free up at least another $1,000.
@pminturn@moultano There are so many inflated prices here. Ordering direct from Chipotle and picking it up is under $16 after tax where I live. The subtotal here is inflated byu $4 cuz of DoorDash. There is an extra $4 delivery fee in the Fees & Estimated Tax line. And then the $4.50 tip.
@jordanawinkler@BroadAndMarket That poll was financed by a group that had endorsed Stanford, so I wouldn't be too trusting of its accuracy.
I honestly had no clue what to expect last night, but I'm glad Rabb won.
@notgaetti I'm trying to parse the data, but if you add up all of his appearances in the field and DH, you only get 1,837. Those last 20ish appearances would be PH where he never got the opportunity to take the field. That would put him over 50%
