@Off_The_Aux Eminem, 50, Wayne. Only 3 rappers in the last 30 years to sell 1 million copies first week (pre-streaming)…Em did it 3 times and Wayne was the last to do it.
@Big_Mel86@Thechat101 At a certain point, yes. When Jordan was first drafted, literally no one expected him to win against those Lakers/Celtics teams. Most people couldn’t even name a Bulls player besides MJ before Scottie was drafted. Post Scottie/pre 1st ring he was absolutely criticized.
@2Cool2Blog Nah this ain’t gone cut it…they talked bad about that man for at least a month and a half straight everyday on national television…the apology needs to be on national tv.
@ddpage369@JOSH_U_A_BEAST@Thechat101 Right! 🤣 like what else was Brunson doing? Playing defense? They subbed him out every time they needed a crucial stop. Mans was strictly getting buckets.
@ImDeemo3@OsheaJacksonJr Man they was just on here flaming Keke Palmer last year for being a part of that show with the Asian chick that grew up around Black people and went to a HBCU. It’s sensitive times out here 🤣
@litty_louis@olympicbean Outside of Scottie, you think any of these players are HOFers if they didn’t play with MJ and played on random teams like the Cavs, Bullets, Kings etc??? Rodman is nowhere near the HOF with a career average of 7ppg & 13reb if he doesn’t go to the Bulls 🤷🏾♂️
@midrangejumpr2@desidevign@mrbuilduponable@iKillCuriosity I’m just saying, you don’t have to necessarily be a “fan” of someone to contribute to their sales these days. Sales were more intentional back in the day. Knowing the release date, going to the store, standing in line and paying. Children with no money contribute to sales today.
@desidevign@mrbuilduponable@iKillCuriosity This is what I keep telling people when they bring up streaming era numbers. I’m not even a Drake fan per se, but I’ve contributed to his “sales” just by tapping play on his album in a DSP that I already pay for every month.
@iKillCuriosity y’all keep bringing up numbers when the topic is culture 🤌🏾
fact is in the early 00s the entire world rocked throwback jerseys, then on one song he flipped the switch and had us all dressed in business casual at the club 🤣 that’s cultural impact 🤷🏾♂️
