What Joyce Carol Oates wrote to Elon Musk on Twitter. I am told it rattled him. I love it.
“So curious that such a wealthy man never posts anything that indicates that he enjoys or is even aware of what virtually everyone appreciates – scenes from nature, pet dog or cat, praise for a movie, music, a book (but doubt that he reads); pride in a friend’s or relative’s accomplishment; condolences for someone who has died; pleasure in sports, acclaim for a favorite team; references to history. In fact he seems totally uneducated, uncultured. The poorest persons on Twitter may have access to more beauty & meaning in life than the ‘most wealthy person in the world.’”
@AP I am glad he is focussing on Lumumba and that dark period of Congolese history. If he hadn't been assassinated (with US CIA's help), Congo would not have had to endure decades of dictator Mobutu.
@NC_Governor We are the ONLY state that hasn't passed a budget.
NCGOP do your damn job.
They always go to the culture wars when upcoming elections are looking bleak.
Dismantling the Dept. of Ed and distributing its duties to a half dozen different agencies is foolish.
Handing responsibility for Special Ed to RFK Jr. is downright perverse.

@BamaForever13@RepYassAnsari@BarackObama It changed my life too. I remember getting on the bus to go to work and EVERYBODY was hugging and happy. Strangers!
Listening to speeches now at the opening of the Obama library makes me miss the heart and integrity of that era.
