Wtf!
Just arrived in Tel Aviv for coverage ahead of the Israeli elections
Only to be told the Israeli authorities are denying me entry to the country!
Have reported widely on Israel / Palestine for the past 4 years for @Channel4News
A London hotel refused to let a West Indian cricketer stay in 1943 because American officers were staying there and would object.
The manager said: "We will not have niggers in this hotel." He sued them. He won. Twenty-six years later he was made a Lord.
Learie Constantine. He was the most famous cricketer in the West Indies and was in Britain working for the Ministry of Labour, looking after West Indian workers who had come to work in the war factories.
He booked four nights at the Imperial Hotel in Russell Square with his wife and daughter. On arrival they were told they could stay one night only, because of the Americans.
Most people would have gone elsewhere. He had the presence of mind to get witnesses — he had brought a colleague with him — and he sued for breach of contract.
In 1944 the High Court found for him. It is one of the earliest successful legal actions against racial discrimination in Britain and it was cited for decades afterwards.
He then became a barrister, Trinidad's High Commissioner in London, and in 1969 Baron Constantine of Maraval and Nelson — the first Black peer in the House of Lords.
He also worked on what became the Race Relations Act.
A hotel manager said a sentence in a lobby in 1943, with witnesses, and the man he said it to went on to help write the law that made it illegal.
Anyone who wants to help desperate Palestinian farmers in the West Bank fighting for their very survival should consider googling @Zaytoun_CIC for the most delicious olive oil ever... and also spectacular Mejdoul dates, amazing smokey freekeh and best of all, their unbelievable zesty zaatar.

BREAKING
Professor Peter Hallward has just been arrested on the National March for Palestine for holding a banner with a factually accurate legal statement on it.
“In the UK it’s a crime to say I support Palestine Action”

Did apartheid South Africa have a right to exist?
Did Rhodesia have a right to exist?
Did the Soviet Union have a right to exist?
Did Nazi Germany have a right to exist?
States don't have rights, Nick. People have rights.
And critically they have the same universal rights. Which is exactly why apartheid Israel has no right to exist.

Oxford Union censored @susanabulhawa's incredible November 2024 speech about Palestine and the racism of Zionism.
But she lawyered up. The union has now been forced to restore the full speech to their YouTube channel.

Israeli 🇮🇱 ‘army’ fire artillery shells into Jabalia camp, in Gaza 🇵🇸 tonight
Israel 🇮🇱 has attacked Gaza 🇵🇸 9 days out of every 10 days since the so called ‘ceasefire’
There is no ‘ceasefire’
It’s a racist genocide
Ban 🇮🇱 money from 🇬🇧 politics now.
Did you know? In 1975 the United Nations general assembly passed a resolution declaring "zionism is a form of racism & racial discrimination" (the resolution was revoked in 1991 because Israel made this a condition of its participation in peace talks)
Foreign office assessors concluded that Israel did NOT breach International Humanitarian Law over Hind Rajab and many other cases. Well done Channel 4 Despatches for exposing the rigged methodology which lay behind these shocking judgments. My column for MEE:

In the film Naza, Israeli soldiers admitted something I actually didn't know.
They said that the AI they are using identified a BAKER as being a supporter of Hamas because someone from Hamas bought bread at the bakery.
So Israel KILLED THE BAKER and his entire family.
It took a little longer than expected, but we have finished the Gaza Geolocation Map. Every clip in the archive whose location we know is placed on a map of Gaza, so you can see where the footage was filmed.
It includes:
35,200+ videos and photos placed on the map.
Sources and the original post for every clip
Node map links & suggested leads
Our built-in AI iris can navigate the map
Fully searchable index
Filters by area, date, type of attack and precision
UN satellite damage survey layer (UNOSAT)
Built-in reverse image search links for each node
Downloadable dataset (CSV, GeoJSON and Google Earth)
It can be accessed here: https://t.co/4irNy85XQW
Please re-share and help us break out of the algorithm prison.
We will keep placing more of the footage as our researchers work through the rest of the archive.
Thank you to https://t.co/c8bmQF2iME, GeoConfirmed, @AbuLocation and @NemoAnno, whose geolocation work is credited on the map.
God bless all those who sacrificed their lives to get this footage out.

Yosef Alziadna was one of the great heroes of October 7th. That morning he was asleep in bed when a friend called him to help. Alziadna drove past Be'eri under fire, reached the party grounds and packed 30 people into his 14-seat minibus.
Today, the State of Israel destroyed his storage shed and chicken coop, tore out what was left of his nephew's house (the nephew had already knocked it down himself to avoid a forced demolition), and damaged land.
This is how Israel treats its Palestinian citizens. No matter how much you serve the Zionist regime, you will remain subhuman to them.
