The opacity of academic prose arises from the epistemological imperative to operationalize disciplinary jargon, facilitating intra-specialized discourse while obfuscating heterogenous interpretive accessibility and perpetuating a recursive dialectic of erudition and exclusion.
I’d rather see the money spent on improving the station’s accessibility, or at least maintaining the lone elevator to the street, which is out about a quarter of the time. 🤷♀️
The MTA appears to have hired private security to guard the emergency exit (also ♿️ autogate) doors at Broadway-Lafayette—two guys per door. I wonder how much this costs relative to what they believe they’d otherwise be losing in fare evasion. 🤔

while also navigating all the caregiving contingencies of cold/flu season in real time
god bless the usa
now that we're back in NYC after a week in Florida my kindergartener is telling everyone key lime is his favorite thanksgiving pie and my toddler is pointing out every "dawg" on the street in a southern accent and really i could not be more pleased with these developments
