Kim, I know that taking legal action against your own sister could not have been an easy decision. When it involves family, the pain runs much deeper because you never imagine that you’ll reach a point where you have to protect yourself from someone you’re supposed to be able to trust.

But sometimes, as painful as it is, you have to do what you have to do—not out of anger or revenge, but for your own peace of mind, dignity, and well-being. Family is important, but being family should never mean that you have to simply accept being wronged or remain silent when something is seriously wrong.

I hope you find the strength to get through this difficult chapter and, most importantly, find peace afterward. You don’t have to explain your pain to everyone. Sometimes protecting yourself is the hardest thing you can do—and also the necessary thing.

Maraming tahanan ang nalubog, maraming kabuhayan ang nawala, at marami ring imprastraktura na pinondohan ng bilyon-bilyong piso mula sa pera ng taumbayan ang nasira o hindi nakayanan ang mga ganitong sakuna.
Yes, pera NATIN. Bilang mamamayang Pilipino, nagbabayad tayo ng TAX. Kaya may karapatan tayong magtanong: Saan napupunta ang pera ng bayan? Nasaan ang maayos na paghahanda? Nasaan ang mga proyektong dapat sana ay nagpoprotekta sa atin?
Natural ang malakas na ulan at bagyo sa Pilipinas, pero hindi dapat maging normal ang paulit-ulit na pagdurusa ng mga Pilipino dahil sa kakulangan sa paghahanda, maayos na imprastraktura at responsableng pamamahala.
Minsan pakiramdam ko, ang Diyos at ang kalikasan na mismo ang nagpapaalala sa atin na may mga bagay tayong kailangang makita, tanungin at baguhin.
Do we really deserve this? Papalampasin na lang ba natin ulit?
Mga kababayan, sana huwag nating kalimutan ang mga nangyayari ngayon kapag humupa na ang baha at tumigil na ang ulan. Huwag nating kalimutan ang mga pamilyang inanod ang bahay, ang mga nawalan ng kabuhayan, at ang mga Pilipinong kailangang magsimulang muli mula sa wala.
