One thing that stood out though, the show opens with a myth:
“In every era, three women rise as Demon Hunters, hidden in plain sight as idols, actresses, or stars.”

It reminds me of an old belief here in Korea.

When I watched EXHUMA, I wrote about this once 🤫 If someone born into a line of shamans (mudang) rejects their fate, they may still find that same path...
through art.

Singing, dancing, channeling power on stage — it’s not far from shamanism.

It’s performance. It’s ritual. It’s a different kind of calling.

++ i thought they were pretty harsh and quick to judge that one of us had a worrying future bec they labeled the kid as reckless and always in tantrum state. they compared me to my cousin, saying baka lumaki siyang walang pangarap sa buhay vs me.

i specifically remember when i was a kid, i would be the only kid in the room when adults would talk and predetermine what would happen to us cousins when we grew up. ++

I love them to the point of letting myself read a whole philosophical analysis on the trilogy. Celine and Jesse's relationship was never only about romance: Further than that: on the depth between humans, on intellectual and emotional bonds, on perceiving and evaluating the world
