pinning this until i can finally replace it with my opening of #eicafe under #eicompany ๐
"The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes His steps."
-Proverbs 18:9
Iโm still watching it, so I canโt quite say how deep the cultural references run yet.... but itโs definitely thrilling to see.

If I catch something meaningful as a Korean viewer, Iโll try to share it with you once Iโm done watching.
No promises though ๐ I might miss things or overlook details.
Just... donโt expect too much from me, okay?
One thing that stood out though, the show opens with a myth:
โIn every era, three women rise as Demon Hunters, hidden in plain sight as idols, actresses, or stars.โ
It reminds me of an old belief here in Korea.
When I watched EXHUMA, I wrote about this once ๐คซ If someone born into a line of shamans (mudang) rejects their fate, they may still find that same path...
through art.
Singing, dancing, channeling power on stage โ itโs not far from shamanism.
Itโs performance. Itโs ritual. Itโs a different kind of calling.

nobody may remember me defending him but I'll always remember believing in the good of everyone. and that no dream is too ideal or fragmented to make it come true. we all just need at least one person to believe in us to keep us going. believe.
++ saying that I'm the one always with him and I think he's going to be fine. even better than fine. i believed he had dreams filled up inside of him. because he did. and that they shouldn't compare him to me because his dreams are different from mine.
and now we're older, I'm 23, he's 22. I'm still the youngest in the room filled with adults, talking about our present. all of them now believe he's going to be fine. as for me, i always knew he would be.
me as a kid of 6 years old, hearing all of these judgements on a 5-year-old kid, would jump in on the convo. no matter if they listened to me or not, i defended my cousin ++
++ i thought they were pretty harsh and quick to judge that one of us had a worrying future bec they labeled the kid as reckless and always in tantrum state. they compared me to my cousin, saying baka lumaki siyang walang pangarap sa buhay vs me.
i specifically remember when i was a kid, i would be the only kid in the room when adults would talk and predetermine what would happen to us cousins when we grew up. ++
I love them to the point of letting myself read a whole philosophical analysis on the trilogy. Celine and Jesse's relationship was never only about romance: Further than that: on the depth between humans, on intellectual and emotional bonds, on perceiving and evaluating the world
Introverts are HIGHLY intuitive, that's why you don't see them around a lot of people, only a few & they are either friends, family members, or a lover. We don't like the attention unless it's from certain people . We only hold deep & long conversations with certain people(1/2)
