With John O’Shea set to announce the Ireland squad to take on Belgium and Switzerland tomorrow, I’ve decided to make the squad that I would pick !🇮🇪

I would make a decent number of changes from Stephen Kenny’s last squad as I feel changes are needed with certain players performing very well who are yet to be picked.

I would also of given Kasey McAteer his first call up but it seems he is unavailable through injury.

Bohemians sign striker Filip Piszczek (28) on a long term deal 🇵🇱.

He most recently played his football in the Japanese third tier but only got 1 start and a handful of sub apperances. He played 13 games with 8 from the start in the Polish top flight in the 2021/2022 season where he managed two goals both with his head.

Neil Lennon may well be a bigger name than Stephen Kenny but I can't seen an instance where we score a goal like this under his management.

As European Nations around our level are improving with the ball are we actually going to move away from this style of play?

Results wise the Kenny project may not have worked but no one can argue that he didn't build good foundations for the successor
