Solana is already fast. So why does Polana exist?
Solana proved something important:
parallel execution in blockchain isnβt theoretical, it works in production.
With designs like Sealevel, multiple transactions can run simultaneously, delivering high throughput and low latency , but limits start to appear.
Execution still happens within a single runtime environment,Which means scaling is still tied to:
validator hardware capacity
and how much load one system can handle over time
At that point, the question shifts:
what if parallelism doesnβt just happen within one machine,but is natively distributed across multiple cores?
This is the direction Polana is exploring through JAM.
Itβs not just about making things faster,
but about changing how execution scales:
from one large runtime to multiple independent cores
from full synchrony to a semi-coherent system
from a single bottleneck to demand-based load distribution
This approach isnβt trying to replace Solana. If anything, it builds on it, aiming to bring the Solana developer experience into a more modular and scalable execution model.
Of course, a lot still needs to be proven:
implementation, tooling, and real adoption,Solana showed that parallel execution is possible,Polana is exploring how far that idea can actually scale.

Mainnet update.
We are moving QoreChain mainnet and TGE from May 31 to June 7.
Our internal review concluded that a final hardening pass on the post-quantum cryptography stack (ML-DSA-87 signatures, ML-KEM-1024 key encapsulation, SHAKE-256 hashing) is the right call before mainnet carries real value. No issues found. Just a higher bar for what we ship.
When you build infrastructure designed to outlast classical cryptography, you only get one chance to launch it right.
