A Democrat just flipped a seat in KENTUCKY that went to Trump 72-23! But she only won by a little bit: 68-32! I know it's not apples to apples, but that's an astounding, record breaking, unprecedented 85 point swing! If progressives vote, GOP is screwed. We are the majority!
@Nutnfancy Taking a knee as a form of protest was always to bring attention to the police brutality taking place across the country. People who stand in opposition to that reality chose to ignore the conversation of police brutality and go with the disrespect to flag and nation narrative.
Good morning good people! I’m back from my hiatus. January is absolutely the worst time of year for me socially due to end of year accounting deadlines. Anyway I’m done! Glad to be back! #Accounting#FridayMotivation#HelloFebruary
This is so fucked and so fucking sad. He was brought to the USA when he was 10 years old, now he has 2 children. No criminal record. Too old for DACA, man who spent 30 years of his life in U.S. is deported https://t.co/J5vEEqYoV3
@altairx20@finn188@realDonaldTrump Great point. To the authoritarian right, protests are a nuisance and sign of disrespect, for those on the left protesting is how you speak truth to power and express grievances. I only use disrespect in this context to address the specific tweet. Respect is relative in most cases
@finn188@realDonaldTrump True. However in the case of Trump he also “wants” people fired for not respecting the flag. A “want” coming from POTUS is akin to a demand. Much more weight behind it than either of us.
@realDonaldTrump Respect is not a law to follow, rather something given/shown/earned. Each person has a right to respect or disrespect as much as they want.
Read atleast 2 books per month, 4 days of exercise each week, do something each day towards a personal goal, and enjoy each day. Just a few changes for 2018. Anyone else decide on lifestyle changes for 2018 that you care to share? #TuesdayThoughts#NewYearNewMe#BlackTwitter
As we count down to the new year, we get to reflect and prepare for what’s ahead. For all the bad news that seemed to dominate our collective consciousness, there are countless stories from this year that remind us what's best about America.
