It’s more about preventing borrowing/reselling than it is about “leaking it”… as well as continuing working on the game until launch when there is no discs to produce

@YoungRenegadeRY @GhillieYT Sure the game is probably going to be great but there’s always a chance it gets delayed again, I’m sure it’s unrealistic but I hope they announce an actual physical pre order. There is definitely downsides to preordering now vs no loss if you preorder the week before.

@BeingParticle @CursedX2000 @re7oJK @videotech If you install and play off a disc you need the base game completed months ahead of time to be able to produce those discs. If all you’re doing is a digital copy they can basically work on it until the launch date.

@CursedX2000 @re7oJK @videotech There’s no reason to not produce discs unless you need to continue working on it til the last minute… it 100% isn’t close to complete and if they do actually release it in November I can almost guarantee it’s going to be buggy as hell
