Slightly underwhelming visit to @Gails_Bakery in Sevenoaks today...
No sugar out, no spoon to stir my latte despite asking, and then to top it off most of the tables needed a good wipe. Definitely won't be rushing back to this one ๐
What on earth @Gatwick_Airport@TUIUK Sat on runway for over 30mins 'waiting for steps' to allow us to disembark flight from Dalaman! 1st steps arrived after 15+mins were apparently unusable!?!
@Patrick_L_Ford@doctor_oxford Absolutely! I work in community learning disability health services and sadly struggle to communicate with a very high number of carers due to their level of English language...
@KirstieMAllsopp 2. to be able to regulate and adjust and moderate his 'behaviour'...
Otherwise he needs far too much time to orientate and switch in to the social and educational demand when he arrives.
@KirstieMAllsopp 1. My 15yr old isn't allowed a phone to school...
I insisted when he was finding school, relationships & self regulating difficult.
It turns out he has adhd. He may find scrolling tiktok etc normalising & dopamine giving, but it's clear he benefits from time,space & demand...
@KirstieMAllsopp As apposed to being conditioned and repressed like a lot of our fellow women seemingly are...
Keep on not having a sense of humour to the nonsensical, including the ridiculous term and concept of 'banter'...
@Debenhams
Received order yesterday & both items unsatisfactory. Items are of poor quality & ridiculously untrue to size - shoes and underwear! Kindly guide me to return in this situ without charge - I certainly should not be charged for returning in effect 'faulty' items
@SLT_Francesca My son's Senco did this in a meeting.
I told her how detrimental it is to have such expectation, let alone then have the ignorance to demand it!?!
My mind was blown further by the dept head defending her when she left at the end!!!
What hope do I have for Yr11 - I'd say 0-none
@RomeshRang
Feel free to heckle the Mr who's there tonight with our grown-up son...
The one and only Mr Ricky Richards (actual name on birth cert!) wearing blue shoes no less!!!
#sorrynotsorry
@kallmemeg The fact is, it's a reason not excuse.
For some families it may be siblings one chance for a break from being a carer, or sibling of a child with a disability. I've been on holidays where 'able bodied' siblings have joined every activity to holiday without responsibility ๐๐
@Headteacherchat Yes, 100% yes!
As someone who works with adults with learning disabilities and therefore supporting individuals parents and carers too...
A holiday, not a month off, so surely the benefits (for pupil et al) outweigh a week missed lessons
@SLT_Francesca Exactly! I sat shouting at the radio in the car on my way home from work - 40mins later than my finish time... Do they understand the higher incidence of mental ill health in ND firstly? And secondly, maybe there should be mental health days alongside leavelike other countries
