An agent and I can review in parallel, and do some smoke tests of the team mates change. But it's impossible to get the expert level knowledge you would have previously had with so much that's happening 😭
We can do orders of magnitude more with agents, but it turns out that building bug free reliable software still takes a huge amount of effort. Now that we can do more, we have to much even more effort into making the software reliable.
You can see these companies crank out more features, but rarely are they high quality. You can feel the jank after the honeymoon phase of the first 5 minutes of use.

Tests that don't deliver value are risks, not harmless artifacts. They slow change and raise the cost of evolution. Treat tests like any other investment: apply the same ROI scrutiny. Aim for coverage that increases confidence and supports change, not coverage for its own sake.
