The goal is to continue to build a sustainable world every day ๐ where biodiversity and humans can thrive. It's a reminder to stay below 1.5ยฐC of the #ParisAgreement and actualise commitments. The Global South and North can do this. @EPIAfrica#actnow

I remember with great awe, the lyrics of #MichaelJackson's "Earth Song", as we mark #EndangeredSpeciesDay. His words still echo every day. "What about animals, what about elephants, where did we get it wrong?" What can we do to make things right and return to nature's worth?"๐ค
Energy efficiency is key to sustainable cities and modern industrialization. However, to power the earth, we need to produce clean, affordable energy supply that is enough for communities to utilize. I'm taking an action on #EarthDay2026 to continue to save energy. @yacri_ng
As we mark #EarthDay2026, let's take a moment to reflect on Earth's beauty. Elephants are the pride of many cultures, our power, and our planet.๐ We watch elephant movies on screen, but it is important to lead public action that protects "The Elephant" in our lives.๐ฆฃ @EPIAfrica
I'm delighted to share that I've been selected as an Elephant Protection Initiative Foundation Youth Ambassador in the inaugural cohort to amplify wildlife conservation. #elephants@EPIAfrica https://t.co/mqiCBbUaeD
A Report published on Tuesday, by the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change says the European Union must urgently intensify and better coordinate its preparations for escalating climate-related risks. https://t.co/oRuuiUjQBf via Environews
To those in business, finance & beyond who remain committed to credible #ClimateAction, despite all the pressures, I say:
You are on the right side of history.
Keep it up.
And to governments I say:
Get behind them.
Provide the policy & regulatory certainty business needs.
Nigerians must urgently take precautions because the hazy air many are attributing to harmattan is, in reality, ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐น๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป with serious health implications. Unlike natural seasonal dust, this polluted air often contains fine particulate matter from vehicle emissions, generators, industrial activity, waste burning, and bush firesโparticles small enough to penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream. Prolonged exposure increases the risk of respiratory infections, asthma attacks, heart disease, stroke, and eye irritation and worsens existing health conditions, particularly for children, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with underlying illnesses.
Treating this situation casually puts lives at risk. Nigerians should limit outdoor activities during peak pollution hours, wear proper face masks where possible, keep indoor spaces ventilated but protected, stay hydrated, and seek medical attention when experiencing persistent coughing, chest pain, or breathing difficulties. Beyond personal precautions, this moment should also awaken collective responsibilityโdemanding cleaner energy choices, reduced open burning, better waste management, and stronger air-quality regulationsโbecause clean air is not a luxury; it is a public health necessity.
