Here's the secret to a healthy relationship that people overcomplicate.
Women want a man who can control his temper, respect boundaries, stay faithful, take responsibility, and figure out how to fix things instead of waiting for someone else to do everything for him.
Men want a woman who is nurturing, loyal, emotionally supportive, and able to stand beside him during his lowest moments without making him feel worthless for struggling.
Women want to feel safe.
Men want to feel respected.
Both want to feel loved, appreciated, and understood.
A man should be willing to learn how to repair things around the house.
A woman should be willing to learn how to create a warm, welcoming home.
But here's what people often forget:
Both should know how to cook.
Both should know how to clean.
Both should know how to communicate.
Both should know how to apologize.
Both should know how to manage their emotions.
Both should know how to support each other when life gets difficult.
A relationship isn't about finding someone who does everything for you. It's about finding someone who wants to build a life with you.
Traditional values can be beautiful when they come from love, not entitlement.
At the end of the day, a good relationship isn't about keeping score. It's about two people who understand their responsibilities, appreciate each other's efforts, and make each other's lives better.
The real question is: Are you both bringing peace, loyalty, effort, and maturity to the table?
@beherleader How would you go about counseling a husband who feels justified in treating his wife like this, because she behaved in some deceitful ways?
@2lastvibes My ex husband’s place was for his daughter from his previous marriage. He got off on watching us compete for his time and affection, when we should have been in different categories. Totally dysfunctional.
@Strangeland_Elf Some women suit short hair, it frames their face beautifully and they are absolutely stunning and feminine. I am so tired of this totally black and white thinking.
@TheEcho13 Yes!! They want the woman who will fit into their little predetermined box. They don’t love her for who she is; they love how well she fits in. It is a miserable, empty place to be.
@shemaiahng You are not the only one. At my reformed church, after service they have two tables; men’s and women’s. The men have deep intellectual conversations, the women’s table is like pulling teeth. Small talk only. I have tried to get deeper but to no avail.
@raqisright From what I’ve heard, when things are going well and he inevitably pulls back a bit, do not pursue him. That changes everything. I hate it and I hate the games 😞
