@sudobunni The places I know mix Scrum with Agile. Scrum is a small part from Agile, but as it sells very well for consultants it becomes the only part. Software Craftsmanship is a better movement.

@anerdguynow I created an entire test automation framework for embeddded systems outside my working hours and put it open-source with MIT so that my coworkers could use it.

The HR told me to close the project after telling me that I was allowed to do it.

So used to do it, but not anymore.

What I dislike the most about agile in big corp is that they only follow Scrum and ignore all the other books/concepts.

The point of the Agile Manifesto was to create an abstraction that represented several similar lightweight processes invented in the mid-late’90s. Those processes included Extreme Programming, SCRUM, DSDM, FDD, Crystal Clear, and others. The meeting was attended by volunteer representatives of each, and by several naysayers. That it reached any kind of conclusion is something of a miracle. That the conclusion became so wildly popular is an even bigger miracle. That some used it to make money is just human nature.
