Broccoli is man-made.

1000 years ago, broccoli, as we know it, did not exist. The mini-trees of today are the result of centuries of selective breeding of wild cabbages.

And broccoli isn’t the only one. Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and kale were all bred from the wild cabbage.
