I know an author who writes gory, violent crime books. How do I help him find critique partners in that genre? I can't get myself to read his work. #WritingCommunity #crimewriting

@MLewitin @Scholastic Scholastic book fairs support the schools' media center budgets. When you boycott a huge company, it's not the decision makers that suffer. It's the lowest totem pole employees, their families, and the connected organizations that suffer.

@MLewitin @Scholastic We just had a Scholastic book fair at our school. Multiple diverse books were on the shelves. I wish I took a picture because one shelf looked like it was taken from the Texas list of banned PBs.

@AndrewsSusanM Oh, I wasn't very disappointed, I was one of those plucking the last apples off those trees :) I don't like the crowds for other reasons, but I got my bag of apples and there will be an apple pie this week :)

Trip to an orchard
Fall weather brought massive crowds
Not an apple left

@Jessicawhippl17 I meant to add, no wonder they ordered two. Your book is so beautifully written and true.

[Ela Castelli @elathepilot]

@Jessicawhippl17 look what finally came to my library after I requested it. When I got to the shelf to take a picture of it in it's place, I noticed they ordered two copies 😀

[Ela Castelli @elathepilot]

@Jessicawhippl17 I just read your book to my kids. I love it so much!
