It may be too early to call it but I think that misinformation & disinformation are going to be in the top 5 of those who won during COVID. It's thanks to them that the following are still somehow deemed to be contentious:
1. COVID is airborne
2. Masks work & are essential.

Today is the first time as I looked around the ICU at the patients and at the staff, that I’m not sure if we are gonna make it through this intact without losing something of ourselves.
There were 150k U.S. covid cases/day last week with effective vaccines widely available
1 year ago (marked by the arrow) there were fewer than 50k cases/day WITHOUT VACCINE
Clearly (and fortunately) our behaviors matter
Unfortunately our behaviors are shit
That's the tweet
white feminism's blueprint for empowerment is always about women participating in capitalism the way men do, and rarely about imagining a world where everyone's basic needs are met
when are we going to stop begging people to choose vaccination and hold our government accountable for enforcing mandates? we’ve given the individualistic approach a chance, it didn’t work. we need a solution now, hospital workers are drowning.
I’ve had multiple trauma patients on the thoracic ICU…not because they have related injuries…but because there’s literally no room for them on our trauma unit. also to note: our trauma unit is in surge. there’s covid everywhere. my heart goes out to all HCPs because i am tired.
The anti-mask/anti-vaccine rhetoric is so exhausting to me as a healthcare worker. I go to work every day to see my patients. I got my vaccine and put on my mask to protect YOU. And all I'm asking is you do the bare minimum to protect our community. I am so damn tired!!!!
It's wild reading stuff written by Physical Therapists stating that our profession has no issues with race. Our profession is 95+% white, people of color have so many barriers to our services.
Just because we never let the KKK have a booth at CSM doesn't mean we're not racist.
