@ianhanomansing Also, we are reasonable ppl and there are exceptions. Students with diabetes are allowed to have their phone on them at all times but only to monitor their blood glucose levels.
@ianhanomansing I teach grade 8. My school policy is that phones stay in lockers during class time. 1st offence: teacher takes phone, student picks it up at end of day. 2nd offence: parent has to pick it up from the office. Works superbly and I am so grateful not to have to worry about it.
@nseducation@nsgov That looks great on paper! Unfortunately, the reality in schools is that they are removing these extremely important, Tier 1 learning supports. Older Chromebooks are being removed and not being replaced and the numbers in our schools is decreasing quickly.
To be clear. We are being forced back to work for the short term. This is not over. We will continue to fight for everything we deserve and we will win. The She Believes is being played in protest.
