Creating a national pay scale would help the #ELC sector thrive and not simply survive. Read our Policy Officer @EYSPolicyLorna's latest blog here 👉👉https://t.co/Hq2mUnpEqm
Thanks @STVNews 4 highlighting this issue. It’s not Free it’s Funded. Got to ask @COSLA_CYP Y thy support a 2 tier model that favours their members? Same defence, £1bn invested yet PVI only get 45% of what you take? Where is equity demanded by Blueprint? #equity4all#payistheway
(1)@ELCScotGov please clarify? # No parents allowed to escort children to school visits?
# No parents allowed to attend celebration (Graduation) events at nursery even outdoors?
Here is the email I decided to send to @nlcpeople early years team ths morn about the high number of distressed families I am hearing from who are being forced to leave established nursery relationships. Ripping young children frm adults & peers they love causes grief & sadness.
This tweet is an example of the kind of message my timeline is increasingly full of: Distressed stories of families forced to take EY places they don’t want due exclusively to the way the funding system has been set up. This is not Realising The Ambition.
This from Suzanne Zeedyke sums it all up @EarlyYearsNLC @nlcpeople we like suzanne are experts in this field, plse listen to us and help us protect and care for our chldn. This may mean looking again at your budgeting @DB_AKODS
@HofENLcentral@EarlyYearsNLC@nlcpeople@EarlyYearsNLC@nlcpeople a disgraceful disregard of children’s rights...
“article 3, The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all decisions and actions that affect children” @MareeToddMSP CAN YOU MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO EDUCATE NLC on the UNCRC Thank you
@scotgov@theSNP@jasonleitch@ScotGovFM explain why you are allowing @EarlyYearsNLC to force children in to ‘pop up’ settings...”article 4 UNCRC Governments must do all they can to make sure every child can enjoy their rights by creating systems and passing laws that promote and protect children’s rights”

“The scientific evidence is clear: to truly thrive in life, you need to be able to trust others. Trust is not just attitudinal – it is a biological state. I believe that every adult who works with children has a moral responsibility to understand the science of #trauma.” #COVID19
@EarlyYearsNLC@nlcpeople please consider this...Attachment is when a child knows that familiar adults are dependable, allowing security for them to explore the 🌍 around them....please please STOP killing the ambition for the youngest children In NLC
Childrn hv a biological need for familiar relationshps. The @CareInspect hv responsibilty to safeguard childrens needs for food &toileting &warmth. Morally, that responsiblty also extends to companionshp. Destroying relationshps shd only be done whn no other options are available
What about the disgraceful decision by you to take children out of settled nurseries placements and temp put them in pop up council nurseries in swimming pools and libraries 🏻♂️ parents have the right to choose, not be bullied by you. Roll on #localelections
