I help teachers and students use technology @hullcollegegrp, hang around with Librarians @hcukgrplibrary and entertainers. Usually my own views

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@theelliebrennan Fag burn on a menu? Classy. Mind you I saw a dj deck at the weekend clearly covered in fag ash by some disrespectful dj 😳

Looking for examples of @moodle External database structures, to manage enrolments and course creation. It’s one of the things that seems lacking in the documentation #moodle #moodledev

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

SQL Server linkage is a thing of beauty! Maybe should use this platform more

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@MSPowerApps trying to change my email address in your Community site, so my account doesn’t use my (soon to be old) work login ID. To a personal gmail address. Is this possible?

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

Looking for a more open replacement for Promethean ActiveInspire - that can let you make interactive drag and drop exercises AND work on any touch enabled device (bonus points for web based, extra bonus points for any score capture it can do). Unless AI is now free!

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

So, upgrading @Oracle #MySQL from 5.7 > 8. And the v8 installer will NOT see our 5.7 installation to run an inplace upgrade. Do a logical one, copy old data folder over to new one with new service off, v8 bombs out on starting. Any ideas? #frustrating

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@MicrosoftLearn to do the pearson-powered online test (AZ900), I cannot enter a UK area code for the phone number (needs to be 4 digits Area Code, not 3). How do I get past this?

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@ScottHibberson if there was ever a need for a haha icon vs the heart one, it's now!

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@MicrosoftLearn are the virtual training days recorded? Due to attend tomorrow/Thursday but Ofsted are in, which we didn't know at the time of booking

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@CateField @IMcMillan reminds me of this view (knicked image I know):

@fesshole @sciencetchr21 years ago I had the neighours on my wifi. My router had factory reset itself, without me realising, until one blabbed to me that some free wifi had shown up. Fortunately no police arriving at my door, as I wouldn't have known which neighbour to send them to

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@bgalbs @isislovecruft remote control on/off/timer of my oven would be fantastic. Bonus points if it can be seat to preheat, then load my pizza or whatever in from the oven below

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@suziebranch that bear has BIG feet 🐻

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@Jennife35768624 from our email footer (gets slapped on the end of all outgoing emails)...

Are there any 100% FREE #video #compression #apps for #ios #android? Seeing as @CanvasLMS can't handle big videos (yes I know they can change the settings to downgrade the video, but they shouldn't have to - far better to upload a big vid then compress in the cloud like facebook)

Sharing this as it was really useful (especially answering the question 'do you need the @Azure App Proxy connector on each server running a published app' - answer was no: https://t.co/4BBLgEGlMB #developer #azureadapproxy #apache

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@AzureSupport that doesn't seem to cover having the app run on-premise via the proxy? Which is what I'm going for here

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

Trying to create an on-premise app and publish by @Azure . Admins onsite have the Azure App Proxy setup, but need a guide on the app dev side as to how the username etc is sent #office365 #dev #php

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

So I won't be taking a UML job off anyone just yet, but https://t.co/JyWL9uDB7B seems useful for knocking up a flow diagram of how a system would work from different user perspectives #freeware #design

[Dave Perry @elearningdaveuk]

@AzureSupport current bulk of experience is with PHP behind Apache. A guide that explains how to get Azure credentials passed to that stack, and what the variables I need are, would be fab
