@Nonapeptide Actually ran into this myself and was pleasantly surprised. We were running ansible 2.4.x and migrated to 2.7. Ansible >= 2.5.x works with py3 though, so unless you have a lot of libs, or py code, migrating to >= 2.5.x is pretty easy
