📢 New Season Structure and Village Update 📢

Gm Aurorians,

With Tactics Alpha Season 3 ending this week, we wanted to make a quick announcement on some high level intentions for the new seasonal structure that we are targeting going forward.

The main changes to expect will be the following:

✅ Seasons will now last approximately 3 months. The reasoning behind this is to allow our team the time necessary to create new content for every season. This will include new and unique rewards, as well as Nefties. We also would like to time new seasons with new Tactics builds, in order to generally have a more "fresh" feel to the start of every new season.

✅ With this new longer seasonal timeline, we understand there may be concerns about people not playing as much once they have ranked up enough. For this reason we are going to be working on a new rank decay mechanism that will incentivize players to remain active in order to maintain their leaderboard position.

✅ Other elements are being considered, such as the implementation of recurrent competitive events at the end of every season, and early access to new builds for select Aurorian holders before they are released to the public. These are still a bit more TBD at the moment.

With that all being said, and having started off the current season without a new patch, we have a new patch (0.2.9) planned for deployment this week that will bring some awesome new features and additions to Tactics.

Aside from that, our team is fully focused on getting The Village: Prologue to Adventures in your hands as soon as we possibly can! With the way things are shaping up at the moment, in order to ensure that we deliver a great first experience, we're now looking at a late April early access release (a few week delay from our initial end of Q1 target).

We truly cannot wait to welcome you all into this first chapter of Adventures ✨
