I asked earlier what Mr Alex's objectives are, and I got a few good responses. On that note, I think we are on the same page about nurturing future talents. He is doing tremendously well.
I can see some uproar in some quarters that he is focusing on people from the East. We shouldn't forget that Easterners are Nigerians. He is helping Nigerians.
If others too can concentrate this kind of initiative in other parts of the country, it will go a long way, particularly for those students who just need a little push to unlock their potential.
My mum once told me: Do not fault the one who does good no matter how little.
I appreciate his efforts. You should too.
@ehimaggie@aonanuga1956 Do jail?
I'm sorry, I don't believe any of these guys will ever be brought to account again.
Everything is compromised, the judiciary doesn't have the trust it once had.
@Chapter62a@FinPlanKaluAja1 I'm surprised that he's venturing into strategic studies, something he has absolutely no clue about.
Should stick to economics.
@LeyeJosiah12639@TheGridPost@IkejaElectric When you add Ikeja and Eko Disco (which I think covers majorly Lagos and environs) it's almost the same as PH Disco which covers majorly states of the South South. So Lagos has it better when you add up. If I'm correct.
At least after this year nobody will come online to tell us "We fought Abacha".
Both NADECO and western Democracy have both been exposed as nothing but complete and utter, monumental sham.
I strongly, unconditionally discourage all men, both young and old, from practicing monogamy.
Of course, this does sound incredibly counterintuitive, controversial, and even offensive to many, but think about it: why do you think our Westernized media spaces, entertainment industries, and public schools have spent the last several decades aggressively demonizing polygamy, while simultaneously promoting monogamy as the absolute, non-negotiable pinnacle of romance, love, and prosperity for families?
I mean, these are the exact same corporate information cartels and neocolonial educational systems that lied to you for centuries, claiming that global capitalism was the best system for the world because it supposedly promotes free markets, healthy competition and the magical "invisible hand." Yet, under this exact same capitalistic framework, billions of ordinary people are being violently pushed into multidimensional poverty, extreme starvation, and economic hopelessness, while a tiny handful of billionaires and trillionaires hoard all the world's wealth, resources, land, and technology for themselves.
If our media spaces are completely wrong, deceptive, and malicious about capitalism, what are the absolute chances that they are not equally wrong about polygamy? Our highly compromised Nollywood industry is always incredibly quick to paint polygamy as a toxic marriage institution perpetually filled with jealousy, bitterness, and domestic witchcraft, where the co-wives are always in a literal or metaphorical battle with each other, and where the man of the house does not have a single moment of peace, sanity, or quiet.
Yet, there is absolutely no single shred of empirical evidence in real life to support any of this dramatic, highly funded propaganda. Ironically, it is this exact same highly praised monogamy, which they passionately defend and promote on our television screens, that currently suffers from a near 80 percent divorce and separation rate in many Western nations, while simultaneously creating a massive, highly profitable "baby mama" industry, broken homes, and fatherless children in every single part of the world.
I do not know about the advanced social decay in Europe, but I can tell you for free that right here in Africa, imported monogamy has done absolutely nothing but weaken our extended families, emasculate our young men, destroy our traditional safety nets, and leave everyone completely isolated, atomized, and lonely. And this artificial, individualistic isolation is precisely what helps the global capitalists secure extremely easy, cheap access to desperate, unorganized, and highly exploitable labor.
OBI'S INTERVIEW WITH RUFAI OSENI
I write not to persuade anyone nor to make you feel I owe you an explanation, far from it. I write only because I can write and certain issues concerning my principal concerns me.
I have read different posts that represent different thoughts and I feel a lot of these thoughts are misguided and misleading. If at this point, a person still needs an interview to form an opinion about Peter Obi's intellect, then not much attention needs to be paid to such a person.
I have witnessed elections in Nigeria and I have seen candidates come and go but one thing that is different in today's Nigeria is the fact that for the first time, we are seeing a candidate who comes to Nigerians and the world at large as who he is. He is not pretending, he is not lying and he is not acting. He simply comes to you as @PeterObi .
More than any other candidate, this man has been scrutinized and almost stripped bare naked. Some people are so obsessed with him that if they could know the size of his scrotum, they wouldn't mind verifying it's veracity.
Peter Obi despite not being the president has done more for modern Nigeria than even the president. Just last week, he was at the EU, addressing delegates., the next day he is in another continent. He works round the clock to prove to the world that it is not yet gloom for Nigeria and that there is still hope.
While many people would like to judge him as regards the @ruffydfire interview, I feel the man didn't do badlyand all that we are seeing are just attacks by pained political enemies. When you come up with vague excuses like 'Perer Obi likes deflecting', the question to you is, all the questions he has answered in the past, what was the outcome? His ideas have been stolen and his policy statements used by the same people in government. A good example is the issue of Band A. He gave a brief about it in an interview and now it has been adopted without him getting any credit. So if the man has decided not to let the cat out of the bag anymore, kindly let him be.
There is no way, you can claim a man who speaks with delegates in European union and gives lectures and addresses in ivy league universities has a low IQ. It is basically impossible to state such except you are an imbecile yourself.
More than any politician in modern day Nigeria. Peter Obi has constantly put himself out there. Plain and simple for people to see. Those who love him, knows who he is and those who just dislike him will continue on the path of mischief. But only time separates the chaff from the wheat perfectly and may time wrought judgment on all those who peddle lies against the man known as Peter Obi.
