@cremieuxrecueil@upRootNutrition The root cause of obesity is not as simple as eating too much. Yes, calories matter, however, time and time again we find that we can manipulate calories out, or increase metabolism. We see this in RCTs on severe protein restriction. We see more calories in the stool using fiber
CIACICO means "Calories In Affects Calories In & Calories Out"
Not entirely sure how to pronounce it though.
It should really be CAACICO, however, because calories absorbed is what you'd want to know.
You can precisely weigh your food down to the milligram and put an identical portion into a bomb calorimeter to measure the calorie content...
... but you still won't know how much of what you swallowed was absorbed.
Absorption varies between individuals, even in populations of genetically homogenous mice.
@DrJackKruse Where can I learn about all these terms , etc. I have no clue about any of this. I just have some understanding of the centralized view of how atherosclerosis begins.
@theproof Very interesting, love how this study doesn't involve statins so people can't make the argument that the anti-inflammatory effects of them improved life expectancy and avoid confounders like sickness.
@trikomes I can understand how many doctors will constantly shift to genetics to explain things. The problem is when they rely on it as being the sole factor for the rise. I am pretty sure detection rates got far higher and LA.
