We’re currently attending a fire involving two fields and a quantity of bales at Gayton Top near Gayton Le Marsh. We have 6 appliances and the water carrier for this incident. Smoke is visible for a large distance - please close doors and windows if you’re in the area.
1914hrs - We currently have pumps in attendance at a field fire on Ferry Lane, Skellingthorpe. All local residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed.

We currently have eight appliances in attendance at Tuetoes Hills, Susworth (part of Laughton Woods north of Gainsborough).
This is for a large woodland and field fire. Further information to follow.
We believe the woodland fire off the A46 between the Skellingthorpe and Doddington roundabouts was caused by an unattended campfire that spread to nearby ground. In these hot dry conditions, please be extra careful with cigarettes, glass and disposable barbecues too

This reminds me of London Firefighter’s in the Blitz in #WW2, what Churchill described as “Heroes with grimy faces”. Ukrainian Firefighter’s plunged into a war doing their duty no matter what, as you’d expect. May God bless and protect them and their Countrymen. #Ukraine
