Very proud of our team at the Salvation Army’s Houben House - the largest family hub in Ireland, officially opened today by Dr. Niall Muldoon, the Children’s Ombudsman.
Currently 2093 families are homeless in Ireland today - we accommodate & support 62 of them at our hub.
Drogheda is in the news today so thought it was only appropriate to post a short video. There are many people and organisations working to make #Drogheda better every day/week/month/year. Join those efforts. Don't buy into the stories of division, hate and fear.
History will deservedly be kind to John Bruton who led Ireland steadily through rapid change towards peace and prosperity. A very decent man of integrity. May he rest in peace.

No. Sorry. They are not “collateral damage” they are human beings who happen to have been born there and live there and most of those human beings are stuck there. Have some compassion, they are Palestinians not buildings or roads or things, they are human beings and so are the hostages whose lives you may also be destroying. They aren’t “collateral damage” either.

If bombing a hospital & the mass killing involved isn’t a tipping point for the international community, what is?
This is an outrage.
An unparalleled challenge to the international order, to the values we say we have & to international humanitarian law.
The world must act.
