Heart felt thank you @SteveSmith98, @OliHenman, @Mary4WECAmayor & Ian Scott for being so generous with their time and being with the Lawrence Hill Community this evening.
Huge thank you to @ACORN_Bristol for the technical support and wealth of experience.
Good luck candidates!
They will not halt, they will not consult. They have a vision for independent travel in London and it excludes blind & elderly people. These policies & schemes are designed primarily by & for affluent non disabled men🚴🏾♂️🚴🏾♂️💨and adversely impact the most vulnerable in society👩🏾🦽🧑🏾🦯🧑🏾🦼
It’s unacceptable for political figures to fuel harmful stereotypes about communities. When groups like @bristolgreen label our community as violent, it reinforces discrimination & emboldens those with existing prejudices & racists like Arron Banks.
In opposition, the Greens pledged to comply with Barton House requests for rehousing. Barry Parsons was one of those Greens.
In power, they have sidled away from carrying out the commitment.
This is what happens when cyclists desire for speed is prioritised above pedestrian safety. 🚴♂️🚴♂️🚴♂️💨💨
For years cyclists complained about being bullied by motorists and now cyclist lobby groups have the ear of politicians, what do they do, they bully pedestrians. 🚶♀️🧑🦽👩🦯🧑🦼
“Our community is being split on race and class lines by the actions of the city council for the third time in a row and each time that split occurs we have greater and greater problems trying to bring the community back together." #WeCopWatch
When you have affluent 25-55yo non-disabled men in charge of cycling policy, you get superhighways & floating bus stops for affluent 25-55yo non-disabled men to speed across London.🚴🏾♂️🚴🏾♂️🚴🏾♂️💨💨
Good people don't want to be associated with this toxic and unjust cycling culture.
@AudreySuzanne @Shabanali_1 @BristolCouncil@ASPolice@bristolgreen Certainly backfired at today's WECA meeting - see around minute 26 when Dan Norris tells Yony Dyer to talk to Melissa Topping

They profit. We pay the price. But here in Bristol, we’re taking back control. Community-owned renewables put power where it belongs – with people, not polluters.
The future is local. Check out what we’re building in our city:

Thank you @willnorman for coming to the Sth Circular this morning to see first hand what the issues are and the impact it is having on the red route community.
Cyclists are now placed above vulnerable pedestrians on TfL's mobility pyramid. The cycle lobby claim "pavement cycling is crucial to give children freedom and safety" but 99% of cyclists racing through floating bus stops are adults and most are affluent 25-45yo non-disabled men.
@willnorman why did you ignore @LittleNinjaUK ?
We live metres from the A20. During 6 months’ road works (2024) below 👇 the LTN wasn’t suspended. My son (who’s autistic) has worsening asthma, increased meds. Chaos at LTN egress points leaves him unable to go out unaided. 😡
