Please get in touch if you are in need of illustration work, I do wildlife and landscape work in digital or traditional media, as well as diagrams and figures for scientific papers (and am very speedy!). You can see more at my website: https://t.co/w558KyFGZH

@RiverBendEco @AnthropoceneMag That's really cool! I visited lake Gnotuk a few years ago as part of a Victoria volcanic plains tour and someone gave a talk about using Eugene von Guerard's paintings of the area as a reference for reveg goals, was pretty neat! (He's been my favourite artist ever since!)

I have my own brand new website!! It's https://t.co/YhOATG2vBj. Please get in touch if you ever need some art to help share your science (or if you need an epic portrait of your dog) #SciArt#scicomm
@ashtongray01@agromons There will actually be some Australia tested thresholds coming out very soon (a GRDC project has just wrapped up led by @M_van_Helden) and there's a GRDC tips and tactics guide that's getting updated with what we've learned over last couple years
@fernvalleys@agromons Hello Ben, you can still see the double tail in young ones, but even in adults you can't see it from the top down, only if you are looking at the aphid from the side. They are vertically stacked tails rather than side by side. (been working on a GRDC project on these guys)
Vespa parasitóide parasitando um pulgão
Ela coloca um ovo que irá dar origem uma larva, essa então devora o pulgão de dentro para fora até matar e poder se transformar em adulta (vespa).
Even invertebrates make mistakes. The stink bug that laid these eggs left one of them inverted. Inconvenient for the parasitoid wasp whose mother injected an egg into that inverted egg. The wasp was eventually able to squirm out. #Pentatomidae#Trissolcus#InverteFest
Picked one of my favourites of the #pleinair thumbnails and gave myself about another hour to make it a full painting. We got these amazing billowy clouds last weekend and they looked unreal in the afternoon light. #grampians#gariwerd
The first 16 all together! All views from around our spot near #grampians#gariwerd, and all but a couple done #pleinair. They have been a nice motivating reason for me to wake up early enough for sunrise! Photoshop with canvas brushes, and from 5 to 20 min each.
@LizyLowe @rubyecology @hsauquet_rbgsyd I did have a look at appsheet and it scared me off cause it looked very complicated but maybe that was premature! I've recently had FileMaker Pro recommended which I haven't dug into yet...
@LizyLowe @rubyecology @hsauquet_rbgsyd I've been looking into this question too! I used so much paper on my last field project and transcribing after sucked! Switched to google forms which was amazing at sites with internet (but doesn't work offline). Have been looking for a free solution but nothing yet...
Found this guy in the compost earlier this year and still stumped. Anyone know what's going with its lack of wings? No sign they got pulled off when I looked under the scope, is it a big nymph?? Was about 2cm. #cockroach
