This feels amazing, especially given how often I considered giving up during the process of making this thing. It took me 10+ years! There were doubts, not gonna lie. Let this give you hope if you’ve got some Big Project that you’ve been trying to complete for a long, long time.

The process involves specific scoring criteria and judges must reach a level of consensus, so, apparently, some years there are no winners in certain categories. This year, Smarter Tomorrow earned a Silver in the “Science and Cosmology” category…so...“officially nerdy”. Nice!

How do they get picked? Books are nominated by publishers from around the world (20+ countries). Books pass through a three-tier judging process of editors, writers, librarians, schoolteachers, psychologists, health professionals, and bookstore owners.

Who else won these awards? Nobel Prize winners Dr. Daniel Kahneman, Desmond Tutu, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, Dr. Andrew Weil, Barbara Kingsolver, Marianne Williamson. Not sure how I snuck into this party, but VERY psyched ;)
