As wind speed increases we're seeing an increase in calls. We currently have 8 crews out dealing with incidents, mainly in St Clement and St Helier. The highest wind speed recorded is 104mph. Please follow advice and don't go outside. Conditions are very dangerous.

Gloucester Street will be closed in the next 10 - 15 mins as there are some concerns about an area of the Hospital roof. Honorary Police are managing the road closure. Stay away from that area but better still just don't venture outside while conditions remain dangerous.

Winds have reached a top speed of 102mph in the last half an hour and swells of up to 9m are expected in St Ouen's Bay in the next hour. Please stay inside. It is very dangerous out there.

So far tonight 29 adults, 6 children and 7 pets have been relocated in hotel accommodation due to property damage. 4 people and a cat have relocated to another address and 3 people have been taken to A&E.

Emergency Services are still out and about dealing with incidents.

2/2 Disaster Victim Identification strategies are in place and specialist officers are surveying the scene with Fire and Ambulance and advisors from Urban Search and Rescue. Families were made aware of this before other Islanders. They are being supported by special officers.

1/2 The search and rescue operation had been moved to a recovery operation. The decision was made after a detailed assessment and following the use of specialist K9 units.
