@tjm0113@mike5_5_5 You just showed everyone your ignorance so thank you for continuing the Philly fan narrative. We don’t even need to try. Every comment section has a Philly fan that shows lack of ball knowledge. Yordan is mvp btw. Schwarber finished top 3 mvp. 2 DHs that can’t even run to 1st.
@SleeperMets Enough. This is the result of fan voting and a poor MLB product. This is a great thing, right into the lockout this offseason. It’s deserved.
@BettingShell@UnderdogMLB MLB is run by Manfred. The only commissioner in any sport who is open about what team he roots for (Yankees). Also Yankees are a brand first, sports team second. There’s a reason in Europe they sell Yankee hats in fashion stores. It’s Yankees for clicks, like always.
@AasonJudge_1992@A2T_8@MLBONFOX@derekjeter@Mets@JuanSoto25_ What is wrong with you? Just let another fanbase enjoy their superstar. Trying to make it all about your feelings and the Yankees. Move on, he was a 1 year rental and he’s signed to another organization on a 15 year NTC deal that will build around him with a younger core.
@kc_atbat@ragazzoreport As long as Stearns is here it won’t. People need to understand he’s a passive executive that can’t handle NY. We see this often in sports where “smart” executives can’t handle big markets. Every trade deadline of his career has been awful. He won’t even be able to sell properly.
At this point, we know who Stearns is and we can all accept he will be out before his contract is up. But on a human level, how can you simply just DFA a player before even getting a chance to debut. Imagine how him and his family feel if they attended or watched. @StevenACohen2
The Mets are calling up right-hander Dan Hammer for their bullpen, per source.
The 28-year-old has reached 98 mph at Triple-A Syracuse with a 1.77 ERA over 17 appearances there. This will be his big league debut.
@WexlerRules@Mets Stearns isn’t capable of this lol
The constant Zack Short signings and calling up to the big leagues tells you all we need to know about who he is as a person. It’s Stearns’ way and his way only. There’s a reason he aggressively got mad at the media when asked about a GM hire.
@WexlerRules@Mets Hoping to see a trade or 2 ahead of the draft this weekend. Stearns needs to be aggressive, many teams looking for mlb talent with wc so tight and these teams should be able to part ways with draft picks. Like when Seattle traded for Donovan.
@Ozymetsdias How is it a mistake? Think of it like this, what has he provided in terms of winning over these years? The team doesn’t make the playoffs there’s not 1 player that any fan should complain about trading off from this roster. We need sustainable winning. Load up the farm.
@SNY_Mets@SNYtv@chelsea_janes@StevenACohen2 you trust your POBO to handle this trade deadline and the offseason when comments like this are made? I’ve watched every single game of Mets baseball and I can tell you from my couch Baty is one of the worst developed prospects in baseball. He can’t accept it?
@SNY_Mets Stearns is the only executive in baseball that would employ Tyrone and have him on the active roster. He went out of his way to trade for him from his old team. He was our starting CF in 2025 and we missed the playoffs by 1 game. A 5th emergency OF starting in a NY market…
@JonHeyman Nice article Jon and we appreciate you getting Steve on the show. I don’t think Green will be a candidate, only because he recently said he passionately enjoys the role he’s in and gets to spend more family time. But he speaks very well and makes the fans feel comfortable.
@Markkhouri7Mark@MLBNetwork I agree it’s not squashed. It never will be. Once Lindor went down look how involved Soto has been with the team. It’s not a coincidence both Benge and Ewing are both the best player with Soto by their side. It sucks to say but Lindor is a cancer, now it’s clear as ever.
@MLBNetwork Trade Lindor this deadline. The only player that can dictate the Mets clubhouse and boo at the fans…Soto possesses exceptional talent and is an invaluable teammate. Nationals front office and his teammates expressed profound sorrow and tears after his trade. @StevenACohen2
@metsmemes22@SleeperMets@nypostsports The truth is good. It humbles people, and Lindor deserves to be humbled. Fans don’t want to hear it because they don’t want to view Lindor as the bad guy, but he’s been involved in several negative altercations with teammates and towards fans since he got traded here
@SleeperMets@nypostsports The best thing for this franchise would be to trade him this deadline. Enough already with Lindor drama. Since the moment he’s came here, nothing but problems.
@MetsLife1229@Mets Incredible organization, endless opportunities and no fear of losing a job. At least he gives them the best chance to lose. Unfortunately we are now cheering for losses strictly for draft purposes and to trade away whoever we can to replenish the mid farm.
@MichaelP_ussy69@emptyhollow33@ESPNInsights What are you talking about? It’s one of the worst farms in baseball. Tong and Clifford are the top 2 prospects with no development. That’s the reason everyone is mad. Take a look how bad everyone has been in all levels of minor league. His analytics failed at all levels.
