The most important part of the Starship update. It’s a reframing of first principles thinking.

There is incredible alpha in deep tech in understanding where the physics constraints are and what the engineering gap is.

Impracticality is often misconstrued as impossible. Engineering problems as physics problems. Encouraging little to no investigation into these problems.

It’s partly why it feels like a lot of our recent innovations are based on technology concepts from atomic era physics learnings.

Only recently have engineers been empowered to push engineering to the edges of physics turning impossible into impractical into boring.

There is a lot of reason to be optimistic about the coming decade.
