Like here he's not really encouraging like "Persist in walking the righteous path, Shiv! Even a sinner such as yourself may be redeemed." but expressing skepticism (though perhaps also testing Shiv's resolve), and evaluating Shiv as a possible threat that will need to be put down.

So sheeeiitt... Shiv only has Grey Talon rooting for him. Not even the guy from the "everyone can turn their life around if they regret their actions" religion does. That's why this art is so cool, it conveys the feeling of Shiv persisting despite being believed by practically nobody:

@AJustFate4Fools @Max_love55 Yea the writing isn't like the original at all. Durandal is all quirky like Katy the penguin of doom. Originals obviously had a really talented writer.
Arachne is tonally meh and a bit cliche and a caricature.
You'd want it to rhyme in the George Lucas sense but it doesn't.
