Unapologetic Nigerian 🇳🇬
Through the rain, through the storm.
We will be fine.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow.
But certainly someday, we will be fine.
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
The 46 schoolchildren and teachers abducted by the Boko Haram terror sect in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, have now spent 41 days in captivity.
The federal government and state government continue to assure Nigerians of their efforts, but the results are yet to be seen.👇🏾
These newly surfaced clips of my interactions with Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola are yet another reminder that my commitment to the struggle for justice, democracy, and the liberation of Nigeria did not begin today. Long before many of those now occupying positions of power found their voices, I was already on the frontlines of the June 12 struggle, standing with Nigerians against military dictatorship and demanding that the people’s mandate be respected.
The irony is striking: many of the opportunists, enablers, and pretenders who either opposed, ignored, or later hijacked that democratic struggle are now in positions of authority and seek to suppress those who remained faithful to its ideals. They may wield state power today, but history has shown repeatedly that repression cannot extinguish a just cause.
These clips are not merely historical artifacts; they are evidence of consistency. They show a young activist standing with the democratic movement when it was dangerous to do so, and they connect directly to the same principles that continue to guide the struggle today.
Those who now deploy the machinery of the state against dissent should remember that every generation produces its oppressors and its resisters. The oppressors enjoy temporary power; the resisters ultimately inherit history.
They will be defeated. The cause of justice endures. The struggle continues. #TakeItBack #Sowore2027 #SoworeForPresident
Six Years Later, DNA Test Confirms Unidentified Body Found in Ikorodu Mortuary Was a Missing #EndSARS Protest Reporter
A DNA test has confirmed that the unidentified body discovered at a mortuary in Ikorodu, Lagos, was that of Pelumi Onifade, the journalist who went missing after being arrested during the #EndSARS protests in 2020.
Onifade, whose full name was Onifade Emmanuel Pelumi, was covering the protests against police brutality on October 24, 2020, when he was reportedly arrested by police officers in the Agege area of Lagos. According to reports, he identified himself as a journalist and was wearing clothing that clearly marked him as a member of the press at the time of his arrest.
Days later, an unidentified body was deposited at a mortuary in Ikorodu, leading to suspicions that it could be Onifade. However, the body remained unidentified for years, leaving his family and loved ones searching for answers.
In July 2024, a Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the Lagos State Government to conduct a coroner’s inquest into the circumstances surrounding his de@th and directed the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to carry out a post-mortem examination on the unidentified body.
LASUTH later explained that efforts to identify the remains had been delayed because DNA samples stored at the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre were destroyed during the October 2020 #EndSARSunrest.
Following prolonged legal proceedings, a fresh DNA test was eventually conducted using a sample provided by Onifade’s mother.
The magistrate handling the case disclosed that the results confirmed a DNA match between the unidentified body and the sample submitted by his mother, finally establishing the identity of the deceased nearly six years after his disappearance.
The confirmation brings a p@inful end to years of uncertainty for Onifade’s family, who have continued to seek justice and closure since his disappearance.
The family’s legal team is now calling for a full autopsy to determine the exact cause of de@th and help identify those responsible.
The matter has been adjourned until July 7, 2026, for further proceedings.
@RedmanNaija You're talking rubbish guy. This has no correlation to any prefrrred candidate. The matter is about the bikers with ammunition driving past police freely! Are they above the law ? Who are they? How did they get all that ammo ?
@Nig_Farmer Bro just face your faming please. You're talking rubbish these days. The government also said no lives were lost at the toll gate. Do we have to start arguing about the numerous lies the government have been telling us ?
