@Brioneja @Astro_Ayers My physicist friend researched and purchased the video camera used in the 1989 discovery of sprites at Marine on St. Croix by Dr. John Winckler and his U of Minnesota team. My friend received his PhD. at the U of M for auroral research performed with Dr. Winckler.

@Astro_Ayers My physicist friend has studied sprites for some time and is a friend & collaborator of Dr. Walt Lyons, former TV meteorologist & an expert on sprites. Per Dr. Lyons, it is _not_ a sprite but is in fact a "jet", and a huge one, and is equally cool, despite not being a sprite!

@biker_Ian My method for this: wire a headlamp bulb in place of the fuse. The bulb limits the current to a safe value, and flickers when you wiggle the loom near the short. Try it!

@MrJamesMay Cars should not have a touch screen interface. Especially for systems that are controlled while driving. Knobs and buttons that can be operated by feel/position alone are infinitely superior. How is operating heater controls via a touchscreen a rational choice?
