A boy broke into someone's house at 2am, and got his arm broken by the homeowner, and then the mother of the boy takes the homeowner to court — and won $800,000.

So what happened?

According to the story, this boy went to the house late at night and started forcing his way through the front door.

Inside was a 30-year-old woman named Sarah.

She heard the noise and quickly realized that someone was trying to break into her home.

Out of fear, she grabbed a baseball bat.

As the boy forced the door open, he reportedly managed to put his arm through the partially opened doorway.

Sarah swung the bat and hit him with full force.

The boy suffered a serious fracture and was left with permanent damage.

But the shocking part came afterwards.

His mother reportedly took Sarah to court, arguing that her son was unarmed and had only intended to steal money. She accused Sarah of using excessive force and demanded $2 million in compensation.

Sarah's lawyer argued that the boy was actively breaking into the house and that she was simply protecting herself inside her own home.

My former boss sacked a university girl who was working for her in her restaurant.

So what happened?

This girl came from a poor background and was in 200 level at IMSU. Because she knew things were difficult at home, she decided to get a job so she could support herself and reduce the burden on her parents.

Fortunately, she got a ₦25k waitress job at our restaurant.

She was hardworking, calm and always minded her business and associate herself with other waitress that are mostly there for indirect hookup.

After about two months of working with us, she started making snacks whenever she went home.

Because she worked night shifts, she would use her free time during the day to make egg rolls, meat pies and puff-puff, which she had learnt how to make since secondary school.

She started bringing them to work and selling them to us small small.

At first, none of the admins really cared.

But as time went on, customers started buying her snacks like crazy.

Some customers who normally came to the restaurant to eat would simply order a drink and buy her egg roll, meat pie or puff-puff instead of ordering food.

Our manager noticed it and wasn't happy.

He called her and told her to stop selling her snacks in the restaurant because she was allegedly chasing customers that was supposed to buy food away.

The girl obeyed.

She stopped bringing her snacks to work.

But something funny started happening.

Customers would come, order drinks and ask her:

"Please, bring me that your meat pie."

And she would tell them:

"I didn't make any today."

They would ask for egg roll.

Same answer.

Puff-puff.

Same answer.

After some time, those customers simply stopped coming.

And ironically, the restaurant started experiencing a serious drop in customers.

Eventually, the manager sacked the girl, accusing her of being the reason customers were leaving the restaurant in the first place.
