@Kabooski1@deadeyebrakeman you do realize we aren’t the sole country setting those bases up correct? you do realize that a majority of those are created in conjunction with our numerous allies? or do you think it’s the US against everyone?
@Kabooski1@jimmynailschi@deadeyebrakeman ISIS was posing a huge threat to Iraqi stability. So yes, we were invited in to help, by Iraq. once again, do i agree that civilian lives should be lost in a state of war? absolutely not.
@HendersonDanna@deadeyebrakeman i genuinely believe, and this is how it’s been described for the past year that this has been in talks, that it’s an equality and fairness thing. they already have a national database of citizens.
@Kabooski1@deadeyebrakeman i know all about it. listen i’m not saying that you’re wrong i’m simply stating the fact. name one military power who hasn’t tortured innocents at one point or another. is it disgusting? yes. do i personally do that? no. and i refuse to be called a terrorist because of it.
@samiam8910@deadeyebrakeman precisely. i genuinely don’t think that anyone who signs a draft is going to be drafted anytime soon especially with cyber warfare becoming a way bigger problem than physical warfare.
@Kabooski1@deadeyebrakeman and what do you think happens to any military personnel when they are held hostage? this is how every single military power treats people they capture. this isn’t just a US specific thing.
@Kabooski1@deadeyebrakeman okay so your proof is from a 2015 article that is on a website with a .com and not a .org or .edu that’s not proof that’s just an article biased to your viewpoint.
@jacobi_unclegug @deadeyebrakeman i think it’s really just part of a whole movement for equality. dems in the senate are for it, republicans against it. it will be interesting to see how it all plays out for sure.
@Kabooski1@deadeyebrakeman we are quite literally in a war on terrorism and have been for the past 20 years since 9/11. the us military is completely anti-terrorist and anti-extremist
