Today I covered RFF (drama) for the first time as a casual. It was great to be able to see how RFF teachers program and plan and how it differs to classroom teachers. #acuedu_p
As someone who else does a lot of casual teaching, I think this is a great idea to be able to communicate with the regular classroom teacher. #acuedu_p
I designed and created this relief teacher feedback form after my 8th full week of casual teaching last term…This makes feedback writing so much easier and organised ✨ #acuedu_p
We have been doing the reciprocal reading process during guided reading this term. These reciprocal reading cards have been a teacher's best friend! The leader can navigate understanding a text with the group just by following these cards. #acuedu_p
I used this idea on my previous prac - have names of the students in the class on paddle-pop sticks and use this to ask questions/encourage discussion 😊 #acuedu_p
We have begun our Mothers Day gifts that our children will be giving to their Mums. This allowed for the children to create an individual gift which involved lots of love. #acuedu_p
To commemorate the soldiers who were lost, the children in my room made some Anzac Day craft which we displayed around the room for parents to see. #acuedu_p
Last Friday it was Saint Bernadette's day and the whole school had an art competition. This is one of the drawings one of my Year 1's drew of Saint Bernadette. #acuedu_p
I think visual timetable's are great for student's of all ages. I have noticed whenever I am casual teaching the student's rely on these timetables to know what is coming next in the day, and they are always able to look forward to something. #acuedu_p

Art lessons: they may be messy but I always love how they turn out!
They are beneficial as they enable teachers to address content from multiple KLAs and also cater for various student abilities. This Kindy lesson connected students’ learning in Religion and English.
This week in my 2-3 years room we focused on Easter and completed a lot of Easter craft. One of our craft activities allowed children to create a chick in their own individual way. Here you can see the wide variety of chicks we got. #acuedu_p
I love this idea, especially ensuring the students use fallen leaves instead of picking it off the tree. This also teachers them sustainability. #acuedu_p
Previously I worked with students, as we spoke about all the different colours Autumn has to offer us as we collected fallen leaves to create our own Autumn Collage. The children loved being able to pick their own leaves for their art work. #acuedu_p
This week in mathematics we explored position. We utilised Bee Bots students first learning how to program their bot then creating a map. They were changed to detect the Bee Bots through the obstacles from two grid points selected by their peers. #ACUedu_p.
Ok Friday I casual taught in a kindergarten classroom and loved their quiet zone. This area of the room was so important for all the students to take a moment to calm down at the times they find themselves getting too over simulated. #acuedu_p
I would love to get a rug like this is my preschool room (2-3 year olds). Not only does it give them a spot to sit but it would also help develop their colour recognition. #acuedu_p
I am absolutely in-love with this rainbow block rug. Excellent for students to know where to sit and makes staggered movement for activities so much easier! #acuedu_p
I think this a fun and creative way to get students confident with numbers. I really like how each of the “hands” and “feet” and different counting strategies. #acuedu_p
I love seeing walls like this in classrooms when I casual teach. I feel that giving students these forms of aids allows for them to add it to their own unique work. #acuedu_p
To me assessment should cater to each students abilities and allow for them to demonstrate their own capabilities. Assessment can be both formal and informal ensuring students get ample opportunities to show their knowledge. #acuedu_p
