Gorgeous Terry the Bulldog. Less than 2 years old. He's got a lovely temperament and has his own unique character. His party trick is rolling under hedges on his back...🙈. How best to describe Terence (Terry) - just a big pudding. Fine with other dogs. No breathing issues. He pulls a little on the lead initially but stops after a moment or two. He sits on command and is a foodie.

The way that individuals can help this dog right now is to share this post as much as possible and/or tag suitable rescues in this thread.
If you are member of the public looking to adopt a dog, please go to your local dog rescue and adopt a fully assessed dog who matches the home you have to offer. In turn, this will free up a space for a new pound dog to be saved.
I am not the one putting these dogs to sleep. THE KENNELS ARE NOT TO BLAME, they are full. Blame the people who allow their dogs to stray and then never collect them - throwing them away like rubbish. Blame the breeders still pumping out puppies, when there are so many dogs dying. But don’t blame us! And please don’t blame us for doing our very best for both dogs and families by ONLY placing fully assessed dogs into private homes.

'Tonight we went out to one of the most horrific things we’ve dealt with. Earlier this morning a black bag was found down some steps in a woodland in #Hanham #Bristol. It’s a well known busy walking route called the 100 steps so lots of people would have seen it today with the warm weather. Instead not one person decided to investigate until a kind lady was brave enough to this evening after she saw a trail of litter from the bag where she sadly discovered a deceased cat & a dirty litter tray with used litter covering her.
When we arrived though we were shocked to see she was heavily pregnant & was clearly alive when she was in the bag. She had been kicked/thrown down 30-40 concrete steps before being left in the rubbish bag injured, terrified & then in labour. She had tried to claw her way out but was too weak & had no oxygen left so horrifically died along with her unborn kittens. She of course wasn’t chipped either.
Why would you do this? What kind of sick person are you? You purposely killed this young cat who you let get pregnant & killed her kittens too. We are absolutely sickened that someone would do this. There is help out there, you could have taken her to a vet she didn’t deserve to be killed in the most horrific way.
If anyone knows the person who did this, recognises the cat or has any information please message us. We will be reporting to authorities tomorrow. This person needs to pay for what they’ve done to this poor cat & her babies.
These are the things we have to deal with behind the scenes along with people being abusive to us. We don’t get a penny out of doing any of this as that isn’t why we do it. We do all this for the cats, nobody else. We have to witness some of the most upsetting things that people can’t even begin to imagine. Try being in our shoes for one day & you will soon see how heartbreaking, exhausting & difficult it is.
We are so sorry poor baby that this happened to you & we will do all we can to find the sick vile person who killed you & your babies.'

Introducing our boy , Sully! Sully arrived in our care through sad circumstances, he was found tied up to our fence in the middle of the night, tucked away into the corner of the railings in the bushes. Sully was left feeling scared and alone not knowing where he was…
On arrival sully was covered in his own faeces and urine, he was also matted and seems as if he has never had any TLC.
Well that has all changed , he has had an appointment with our vets and groomer and is looking and feeling brand new.
Sully is a large guardian breed, a Caucasian Shepherd. He is approximately 3 years old.
The Caucasian shepherd are bred for guarding livestock and are very strong , they need experienced hands. Sully is looking for owners that have experience with guarding breeds , owners that have had his specific breed or similar would be perfect for him. Once sully trusts you he is extremely loving and likes to rest his head on your lap for some cuddles and sniff out every inch of you. However, he is still very timid and it seems he has not been exposed to life or the outside world at all.
New people can be very frightening for sully , he is working on his confidence skills and they are building day by day. Loud noises can also be a worry for Sully, being in a busy environment like kennels is not the place for him and he desperately needs out so that he can start to relax and properly work on his socialising and slow exposure to the outside environment. One thing we know for sure about Sully is that he loves his canine pals , he hasn’t learnt to play as of yet , but you can see that he definitely “speaks dog” rather than human. We believe he would benefit massively from having a canine companion to show him the ropes.
Sully was a very good boy for his bath and groom and is getting used to humans having loving hands and not scary ones. He needs owners that will be committed to working with a trainer to build on his confidence and help him learn “how to dog” properly. Sully would love to take up some extra training classes to help keep his brain busy and fulfill his breed specific needs once his confidence has grown and he has built bonds.
He is looking for an adult only home where he can decompress and adjust at his own pace. He could possibly live with other neutered depending on intros done at the centre.
Based on Sully's past associations he will require committed humans to build a bond with him. This will mean ongoing visits to the centre. Sully needs a rural setting to thrive in, city life is not for him.

This little boy had been dumped in a council pound 💔
Another neglected little soul now safe and sound - meet teeny tiny Pom ‘LITTLE BEAR’ 🥹🦊 It really isn’t just the big breeds who are suffering - this little man is just 5kg and found himself in a pound in a terrible state 😭 However!! he may be tiny, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in character 🤩🦊
He’s an amazing little boy who does the best happy dance 🕺 taps you with his little pixie paws for attention 🦊 rolls on his back for a belly rub at any opportunity 🐖 … and will categorically tell you in no uncertain terms when he’s hungry 🤣
Heartbreakingly, Little Bear was abandoned - we don’t know how or why, but we do know that he had scabby skin, ear infections, matted fur, a mouth full of horribly rotten and painful teeth (he pawed a lot at his face, cried and struggled to eat 😥) … and he was lame on his back legs 💔🦊
🏥 So, TODAY, he’s had a whopping 17 teeth removed 🦷 and X-Rays of his pelvis and legs - he has hip dysplasia, arthritis and his kneecaps pop out (luxating patellas) - no wonder he was in pain 😭 Our vets think that managing him with pain relief is the best option for him, so that’s what we’ll do for now 🦊
PLEASE, PLEASE donate for Little Bear 🦊🏥 as you can imagine, his vet costs are already very high - it may not look it, but we are a tiny charity, and we really do need all the help we can to keep going 🦊 every single donation helps us to save lives, and change lives 🦊

Animals found living in squalid conditions will tonight have a clean, dry bed. 17 APRIL 2025
Over 80 dogs, two cats and a chicken were today (Thursday 17 April) found living in appalling conditions in #Tickhill in Doncaster.
Dog Legislation Officers and the RSPCA entered the property and were immediately taken aback by the smell, the conditions and the volume of animals living inside.
Working their way around the property the team were met with faeces, filth and round every corner and room, more dogs.
One by one, officers took the dogs from the property and to safety and counted 78 Springer Spaniels and four other breed dogs.
Animal cruelty will not be tolerated across South Yorkshire, and we will work with partners to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
Chief Inspector Emma Cheney said: “Effective teamwork and strong partnerships between us, the RSPCA and Doncaster City Council allowed us to act on community intelligence that a property was being used to house animals and obtain an emergency warrant from the courts.
“This is not responsible dog ownership; this is cruelty and I am pleased we have been able to intervene and ensure that these dogs receive the care they deserve and hopefully have a bright future ahead of them.”
All animals have been taken into kennelling. The investigation into finding those responsible is still on-going.

This poor broken soul has endured the worse life and neglect unimaginable. Gracie is an American Bulldog cross and is emaciated and sad with the flattest spirit. Grace has been starved, used for breeding and abandoned in a local park in West Yorkshire. The cruelty, neglect and abuse for so many dogs is off the scale in Yorkshire alone. This poor dog is approximately four years old and has never lived a happy life. Grace has been seen by the vets and her body mass index is one. On arrival as a stray Grace was carried into kennels by the dog warden due to being so weak. She could not stand and has no muscle at all due to being so emaciated. Life is so precious and every day we are seeing more and more cruelty‼️

'This morning Kelly at immingham dogs home received a phone call just before 7 from a lorry driver that had seen a dog in a ditch road side on the A18 just passed Laceby golf course.
Dog was said to be wet and black, thinking this was possibly Enzo who we are searching for (although along way off) I headed out, and I found this very sweet female cocker just laid in the ditch💔
I spent some time talking to her so I didn’t frighten her and then slipped a lead over her. Soon became apparent she wasn’t going to bolt but laid scared, she let me pick her up and carry her back to my van.
She has no chip, extremely matted and stained by urine on all her white, I haven’t smelt a dog like her since the Dalmatian case.
She looks to have had multiple litters, although not underweight.
She is currently at home drying off and warming up. I’ll bath her later and get the Mats out.
She is very frightened and nervous but is so incredibly sweet at the same time with a lovely face.
I suspect she’s been dumped and didn’t move from the location she was dumped.

"I have often seen pictures and videos of dogs kept on very short leashes in Vietnam. I asked my friend in Vietnam if it is typical. This is how he answered:

'Yes, it is, and most of the time the owner does this so that the dog grows fat quickly before killing it for consumption. The dog never plays, never runs, never walks.'

A caring person: 'Even in the rain and wind, one still wants to find shelter, let alone knives, hammers, boiling water, pans of oil, and burning fire...'

The dogs I am seeing in pounds are not beloved pets that owners can't afford to keep. They have been dumped by breeders or were bought without proper research and commitment‼️
Abandonment has increased by 40%- 50% in some areas (RSPCA) .
⭐️Why have we not seen the large charities on tv asking for a halt to breeding and a ban of pet selling sites?⭐️
Councils are still issuing new licenses to breed‼️

We are urgently seeking a new placement for our STUNNING boy Nova. We would love to find an adoptive home but a new foster home would also be considered.
Nova is a 7-year-old Siberian Husky that loves people of all ages, he is good with children and could live with other confident dogs that will tell him no when needed.
He likes to meet other dogs but he can get a little over excited and jealous sharing human attention. Continued training and socialisation in this area will be needed.
Nova can be left for 3-4 hours without problems. He walks well on a lead but will pull when he see's small furries 🐱🐿️
Nova LOVES lots of attention and cuddles, long walks, paddling in water and playing with his ball 🥎
