This is Sully who's a new admission, a 5 year old male with a lovely chinchilla coat. He's quite a large rabbit with very big ears! He's already neutered so hopefully he can find a home quickly. 🐰 #rabbits #bunnies 🐰

This is Stanley who was admitted recently, unfortunately due to the illness of his owner. Stanley's a dwarf breed & just 8 months old, although he looks very sweet he's been quite mischievous up to now! He will need a new home once he's been neutered. 🐰 #rabbits #bunnies 🐰

Stark arrived with us from the pound a few months ago and has been undergoing assessments while settling in.

When his old dog walker spotted his beautiful face on our socials, she wanted to visit him. She introduced us to his original family, who expressed what a wonderful family dog he had been. He has been brilliant at the rescue too.

Our Mr Pringles has had a lovely day today out on walkies in the sunshine before the rain came down and cover was sought in the barn 🤗
He's such a beautiful boy and in great condition too.
Once fully assessed he will be off to the vets to be medically assessed. Such a good boy!

I honestly cannot even begin to explain what my day-to-day life looks like right now.
Everything feels overwhelming. Every single day I worry about my mental health, but I keep going because I have no choice.

I’m sitting beside my mum in the hospice watching her cling onto life in a way I’ve never witnessed before.

One hand is holding hers while the other is tapping away at a computer trying to sort accounts, raise funds, answer messages, and somehow keep Dogs on the Streets going.

Then I come home and it doesn’t stop.
I have to support my family, my children, the charity , 24/7.
The phone never stops ringing. Today alone we’ve had countless desperate calls from people terrified of losing their dogs, people struggling mentally, people talking about suicide, people with nowhere else to turn.
And I get it.

Because these dogs are their family. Their reason to keep going.
I’m trying my absolute best, and so is my team, but the truth is I go to bed most nights sobbing my heart out from exhaustion, grief, pressure, and heartbreak.

When I get the odd couple of minutes to myself, I just sit there thinking… who even am I in all this?
Where do I belong? It’s a very difficult time for me personally and for the charity.

We are not some huge glossy charity with TV adverts, massive wages, PR teams, and £150,000 CEOs. I take absolutely zero pay from Dogs on the Streets. Everything goes back into helping people and their dogs stay together.
But I’m human.

I’m grieving. I’m exhausted. I’m trying to hold everything together while holding my mum’s hand in a hospice.

So if our social media feels all over the place right now, I’m sorry. I genuinely don’t know what else to do except keep going minute by minute.

But please know this , every donation, every share, every kind message, every person standing beside us right now genuinely matters more than you could ever know.

We will keep fighting for these dogs and the people who love them, no matter how hard things get.

Very friendly and nice natured. She is strong in the lead but does have some basic manners. Happy and excitable.
