@himmiesteer @enews I have bipolar disorder.
Facts:
1. It is a mood disorder that basically hijacks your brain when you are depressed, hypomanic, or manic; therefore, that thing you *think with* is not working correctly so you're acting differently (mood), making impulsive decisions (brain) 1/
@FGossGraves Unfortunately, Will & Jada's dynamic is so toxic that it's hard to unpack whether he did this to prove something to her, or us...it was so violent and unnecessary.
@Frances_Larina@FGossGraves There is no hero in this scene:
❎ Not Chris Rock for vicious bullying disguised as a joke
❎ Not Will Smith for battery, then gaslighting us & repackaging it as "love"
There was one victim:
✅ Jada Pinkett Smith who had no agency
@4rensics@FGossGraves I agree.
I haven't seen "King Richard," but I wonder if he was subsumed by the role in addition to having issues at home?
His eyes look flat. His affect is off. Very concerning.
And then "violence" = "love" ?
Needs mental health intervention.
@MattBelloni@kurtbardella mmmmmmm nope he did not apologize
many victims of assault can tell you he 100% played the victim and he hit out of love. Ya I've heard that when I was slapped too
@jackjon05003647 @MattBelloni@kurtbardella Disturbing and complex:
• Chris Rock's bullying/baiting
• Will Smith's equating "love" with violence
• Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith's "entangled relationship"
• Jada's alopecia
Awful, dramatic scene. Will Smith needs mental health support.
@NoLieWithBTC So, she's more qualified than any current Supreme Court justice (including KavaNO and Barrett, who he voted to confirm), would be a great justice, but he can't vote for her because she's black.
@on2inessex@large_raisin @HelenHerne @rhonda_harbison Nah. You're on the wrong side of this and *no one* is going to fact-check whether she said this or not.
It denigrates her honor. It's disrespectful and it harms her.
Why you keep dismissing it as innocuous is the problem. It plants a seed.
@NoLieWithBTC Republican hyperpartisanship. It is all about the R more than it is about America. They would rather lose America than lose the Republican. That statement is a perfect encapsulation of that.
@NoLieWithBTC If that’s Ben Sasse’s reason he needs to say that. The point is that journalists aren’t asking enough pointed questions & are not following up enough on the answers. Make him say it if that’s the case. Otherwise it is conjecture on our part & plausible deniability for the GOP.
NEW: Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) just said Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has “impeccable credentials, a deep knowledge of the law... and is an extraordinary person with an extraordinary American story” but says he is “sadly unable to vote for [her] confirmation.”
@DeborahMeaden@jesflres Despite being triple-vaccinated, continuing to wear a mask, socially distancing, sanitising and hardly going out, I still got it on Feb 4th and am still not better. I dread to think what would have happened if I hadn’t been jabbed.
