@CaitlinPacific Had he been born in the US this man would be president. I haven’t seen this kind of political charisma since 2007-08 Obama - and 1991-92 Clinton.
@PeteButtigieg I’ve followed your career since you first ran for president and you have my utmost respect. This is unthinkable. Having a newly minted 5 yr old, I cannot imagine him being questioned by strangers in an unfamiliar environment for NO REASON. My heart breaks for you all.
@AngoraGoatLady@susie_rosa_ The issue is that if you have young grandkids (like 5 & under), don’t visit their house to be a guest to be catered to. Go play with the kids, bring dinner, hold the newborn baby while mom naps or eats or does something else. don’t be another mouth to feed or person to care for.
@quachelsey Ahh the “visiting grandparent”. The one who arrived mms at your home to see the kids but expects you’ll treat them like a guest to attend to instead of a family member.
@lesbianvaultz I hear you. I think if you’re going to have kids into your 40s (particularly if you start at that age) it is important that you have financial security so that you don’t impose (at least financially) the burden if your old age care of a young person.
@thecavemommy I did nothing for nighttime training. He just starting waking up with a dry pull up at around 3.5. One night we decided to go without the pull up @ nighttime all together, and it’s been good ever since.
@littlebillie No one uses babysitters every 2 seconds. Babysitters are fine. There is no medal for “not doing grown up things” until your kids are teens. Get a babysitter and go to a grown up show or a restaurant that doesn’t serve chicken nuggets.
@JamieWhistle@VAKruta Friends and family: THE HORROR!! I can’t imagine being so privileged and having so much free time to dedicate this amount of energy to the colorful of a 6 yr old. Isn’t there a charity you can dedicate time to instead?
@CyberWarDoc@MegEBrock You won’t regularly see kids in places that charge $18-$20 for a cocktail. And yes, if there are high chairs, boosters, chicken tenders, pizzas or pastas, chances are kids will be there.
@CliftonSellers Simple: raise them lovingly and for everything you can so that they are self assured, confident young women. Then you can trust them to decide whether college is the right path for them, as it should be their choice.
@UplandHunterVA@CharltonBlake1@adrianpandev None of that is an argument for kicking people out that you have already let in so that they can file paperwork outside of the country.
@3lfares You have to file a tax return. Whether you end up paying any taxes depends on income thresholds and tax treaties between the US and your country of residence.
@Walker00101@Alonso_GD The “adjustment of status (AOS)” is EXACTLY what this policy is aiming at. In these cases, AOS was almost always granted as a matter of course. This policy is basically saying “not so fast”. So 💯 a person in these circumstances could be denied AOS under this policy.
@UplandHunterVA@CharltonBlake1@adrianpandev No. But if the US grants had already vetted and granted someone a visa, there is no reason why it has to kick them out if in order for them to apply for a green card. they have are already been working or studying in the states under US authority.
