Thank you @ProstateUKProfs! It was a great privilege to have collaborated with Dan West and Susan Stepney. So much gratitude ❤️ to @ProstateUK for funding the Raman capability for PCa as exemplified in this work and also in https://t.co/TEhqtMOhok 🎗️@YBRI_UoY
The tributes and outpouring for David Hockney—his genius and his personality, the way he saw the world, his way of seeing and his beautiful charm … I came across this 1982 interview. It is worth persisting with despite its quality. It captures so much to love.
The eternal wetlands
And ebb of lapping water
A return of the birds
Amidst the loss
Of world order
The names that we know
And the names that they are
Hear the poetry from my words
Meet the night and morning star

What happened this week in #ProstateCancer:
1️⃣ Early on-treatment PSA threshold for survival stratification
A large STAMPEDE post-hoc reanalysis indicates PSA ≤0.2 ng/mL by week 24 is a strong overall survival signal and that PSA plus imaging outperforms PSA alone for prognostication in advanced prostate cancer.

Why did I take on a huge challenge I didn’t think I could complete to raise money for @MOVEcharity. Read about it in the photo attached. There’s still time to donate https://t.co/U34L3DQcU7
Congratulations to our London Marathon runners - together they raised a whopping £16.5k for the charity! A big thank you also to our support crews who lined the streets to cheer on the runners, your enthusiasm is what makes marathon day so special.
🧵 1/2 New from STAMPEDE (Lancet Oncol 2026): PSA ≤0.2 ng/mL at 24 weeks in metastatic prostate cancer varies markedly by treatment.
Prostate RT achieves similar PSA suppression depth as docetaxel — but abiraterone doubles the response rate.

What happened this week in #ProstateCancer:
1️⃣ Transdermal estradiol reopens patient-centered ADT strategy
A phase 3 comparison suggests transdermal estradiol was noninferior to LHRH agonists for disease control with a distinct tolerability profile, supporting renewed consideration of alternative ADT approaches as outlined in NEJM phase 3 (STAMPEDE-1 / PATCH).

Earthset.
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
