@ucu you are doing the tories job for them. arts and humanities lecturers are more likely to partake in the marking boycott, meaning low income students are less likely to take those courses as they can’t afford to not graduate because of another MAB.

@j_siller @UCEA1 @QUBelfast i have. and i received no response beyond being pointed in the direction of the MAB FAQ page. that’s the point. students hold no sway, and to use them as pawns is outdated and cruel. to assume they wield any power is idealist and means your industrial action is doomed to fail.

@ucu this tactic is preventing visa renewals, final year grad jobs and in some cases has caused homelessness. not trying to undermine, but do the ends justify the means this time? were there really no other forms of industrial action you could have taken that did not ruin young lives?
