@Primark I am sick to death of being called by your Liverpool sick notes. I’ve called Primark and they ‘put the number in wrong’ in a WhatsApp group. I’ve been HOUNDED since 7am this morning. Sort it out.
I am absolutely DEVASTATED.
An approved outline application for industrial units and other development has been approved by @KnowsleyCouncil. This development will result in the destruction and deterioration of over 7 HECTARES of ancient woodland.
@WoodlandTrust PLEASE HELP!😭
All is not lost @LivCathedral you have the opportunity to right your wrongs and do the right thing, remove the netting + answer the questions you continue to avoid. You have the opportunity to adopt the stance to nature taken by @churchofengland + help Liverpool's wildlife thrive
Recently in emails @LivCathedral have stated that the peregrines are still on site + "appear to be around the tower" this is not positive + puts them in grave danger of entanglement + ultimate death! The netting must be removed now! #NestsNotNests#NetsDownForNature@NENorthWest
Can @LivCathedral to confirm if points 4,5 + 6 have been committed to? Has netting that can't entangle birds been used? Is the netting checked up to 3 times a day by a trained ecologist to ensure that no wildlife is caught or that the netting has become defective? #nestsnotnets
@Natures_Voice released the following advice regarding netting whereby they state that they "cannot stand by and let the current practices spread unchallenged"...one would hope @RSPBLiverpool would follow suit.
https://t.co/BOUQIKUGN5
@RSPBLiverpool haven't replied whether appropriate consultation/survey was undertaken prior to the netting and once I raised my concern regarding a legislative breach have not confirmed when the netting was undertaken...are they compliant in these actions?!
What it fails to state is that once the news had broke and a potential legislative breach had occurred @LivCathedral scrambled to get some advice...I believe the 'experts' they refer to are @RSPBLiverpool an organisation you could rely on to strongly oppose these actions? Right?
The second PR statement @LivCathedral states that "we have consulted with wildlife experts, including the RSPB, on a solution that we hope provides a safe environment for the birds but protect the rest of the building from the damage their activities cause"....very misleading...
..."God has given humans the right to use animals for their survival but they are expected to do so humanely and sustainably. With this power and privilege comes the responsibility to exercise it with care"...I guess this can be overlooked if the species poos on your church!!
Obviously @LivCathedral don't support the stance taken by @churchofengland! Christian belief dictates that:
"humans have stewardship over God’s creation and should care for everything in it, including all animal life which is valuable and to be respected"... peregrines included!
