A few more cleaned up pics of the #westernreefheron at #Caernarfon this morning...not bad for a bridge camera in the drizzly murk! I am so thankful that the bird hung around!! #UKBIRDING
Very early start for the #WesternReefHeron at Foryd Bay; with no sign from dawn things were looking glum...until the bird was refound at Caernarfon; 10 mins mad dash later and at 7am we were face to face with this 1st for Britain & Ireland...I even managed to drag connor along!
Common Bulbuls, Iberian Pond Turtle, & Saharan Green Frog; just some of the wildlife within the breathtaking Jardin Majorelle, at the former home of Yves Saint Laurent #Marrakech
Dusk watching the sunset over over #Marrakech... the Riads resident House Bunting in attendance, Turtle Dove, White Storks circling (with the Atlas Mountains behin). 2 Erlanger's Lanners regularly zoom through hunting Swifts, with the odd distant Long Legged Buzzard circling!
Hectic day spent in the Squares & Souks of the Madina, but there's still wildlife to be seen! Including Little & White Rumped Swift - Jamaa El Fna, Bulbuls & Saharan Pond Turtle - Le Jardin Secret. Booted Eagle, Lesser Kestrel & White Storks overhead! #Marrakech#BirdingMoroccow
The aquatic life within & around the Menara Gardens reservoir is really interesting... Orange-Winged & Violet Dropwings being endlessly pursued by Lesser Emperors, European Pond Turtles sunning themselves & Saharan Green Frogs incessantly calling away! #Morocco#Wildlife#Herps
Dragged Gaynor around Menara Gardens #Marrakech this AM, amazing place & great birds; Maghreb Magpie, Spotless Starling, Woodchat & Iberian Grey Shrikes (algeriensis), Booted Eagle, House Finch, Common Bulbul, Little & Palid Swifts, RR Swallow #BirdingMoroccow#Birding

Licensed #Dormouse surveys in a beautiful Denbighshire ancient woodland today... every winter, I look forward to kicking these surveys off again in May!
4 pairs of Pied Flycatchers cheekily nicked the boxes for nesting too ๐
Finally, back behind the wheel, so, we walked Cilla on a loop around Parbold Hill and down to the River Douglas yesterday afternoon; first time we've done this route; absolutely lovely! Brown hares, Garden Warbler, Goosanders, Tree Sparrows, kingfisher, Yellow & Grey Wagtail
@thenewgalaxy@JohnAcid@HardingRogerC@BSBIbotany@orchidsorknot Hi Chaps! There were great numbers, including the white (unburnt) variant in 2021...vabsolutely zero last couple of years. Although over the last 12 years that I've been going there, blank years are common.
