I am very concerned by last night’s strike by U.S. forces in Syria. The president has the responsibility to keep Americans safe, but for too long administrations of both parties have interpreted their authorities in an extremely expansive way to continue war. This must end.
English really needs a word or short phrase that means “Yes, my hands are full and I really appreciate your offer of help, this isn’t a question of pride, but if I try to hand you any of these items I’m absolutely gonna drop all this shit”
just found a book I liked as a kid called A Girl Named Disaster that’s from the perspective of a young Mozambican girl who struggles with culture clash with white people and traditions in her village. This book was written by a WHITE woman who lived in Mozambique for a hot minute
I’ve noticed a weird uptick in people using this word. There was a whole movement to try to stop this language but I’ve been hearing it so much more than I did a few years ago. STOP IT.
