@EmmaE_B Same! I always feel like it’s similar to gymnastics scoring where they start with the potential for full marks but get deductions for errors, looks of alarm, denials of importance, etc.
BofE Pill: Brits ‘need to accept’ they’re poorer
No
Not while 1/5 bankers remain non-dom, all hedge funds are based in tax havens (Inc Sunak's former fund), private equity firms use loopholes costing £600m/yr, £15bn lost in PPE.
Gaslighting us all😡

I think this is one of the first conference sessions I’ve ever been in when, not only do my feet touch the floor, the seat is actually a teensy bit low! #THEdigitalUK
The conference reminder I have to give every time. It isn’t acceptable to take time from scheduled breaks in conferences, especially when equity and inclusion have been referenced. There has to be time to move between sessions and to allow visits to toilets. #THEdigitalUK
While we learn that *every single river* in England is polluted, here is the River Limmat in Switzerland. It runs through the centre of the largest city, Zürich (population: 436,000).
Water Quality: Excellent
Public Swimming Baths: 11
We have been mugged. #WildIsles
Therese Coffey says "I am not going to pretend to read @FarmersWeekly" because "I am into information and facts" when asked about @Merry_Meredith 's editorial describing her appearance at NFU as a "car crash". Also accused him of "voting Liberal Democrat for a decade".
As greased piglet Johnson tries to wriggle free from his own crisis, our democracy pays the price. Parliament needs Ministers to be honest, Committees to be respected & constitutional conventions to be upheld. He failed on all counts.

The introduction of Voter ID could stop 2 MILLION people from voting.
This is blatant voter suppression from a Tory government willing to strip away democratic rights to cling on to power.
We need to throw this awful legislation into the dustbin of history where it belongs.
New figures show that flatlining wages over the past 15 years have left every UK worker £11,000 worse off per year.
In that time, UK billionaires' wealth hasn't flatlined - it's up THREE-FOLD
That's no coincidence - it's how our rigged system works.
It's time for a Wealth Tax.
Exactly 200 years after William Wilberforce founded the Anti-Slavery Society, here’s Suella Braverman at a facility to which she hopes to deport trafficked victims of modern slavery.
The Conservatives just blocked my Bill to give the public the power to call a General Election when the majority have lost faith in the Government, as they have now.
We should modernise our democracy to stop failing Governments from clinging on when the people have had enough.
Rishi Sunak has a heated private swimming pool, Nadhim Zahawi has heated stables for his horses, and thousands of pensioners die of hypothermia every year. Go figure.
